They have had my chair for over two years! No one answers the phone, mailbox is full. I want my chair back! I called you quite some time ago and you said they are no longer with you. This business should be prosecuted!!!

Stay away, never followed up, takes your money, not professional

Do not think he has the ability to do projects he starts

Worst experience ever! Louis was hired to refinish a piece of furniture that has been in my family for generations. Many different excuses turned a few day project into a 6 week project. Decided to pick up the piece ourselves and when we uncovered it, a piece had been broken off and the glue was still wet! Never once were we informed that he had damaged our piece. He returned back the next day to try to re- glue it. Still an obvious crack in the wood that I will need to have someone else repair now. Be careful!!! I'm not someone who normally writes reviews, but would hate for someone else to experience the heartbreak I did. I can never replace this piece.

I hired Louis on gave him a deposit on 08/24/18 for $4800 and then we decided to cancel and asked for our deposit back, Louis said that I will get it back to us and asked for a little time because he used it for payroll, we received a check from him for $1200 this last Friday which was the day I was suppose to be paid in full, I text him this last Monday and said I want the balance by this Friday but I have not heard from Louis

BEWARE!!! I had to "phone chase" Louis Steen (Owner) on three separate occasions to return to my home to complete the simple repair my Recliner chair. Louis was happy to take my $100 deposit on day one, which he cashed on the same day but failed to keep in contact with me after that promising me he would let me know when the spring he ordered would come in and him returning to complete the repair. When I finally phoned him, his excuse was he had an emergency and had forgotten about me. What was fishy about that excuse was he used it again two more times during the following week. He had made arrangements with me this morning to be at my home between 8-9am. Again, no show. When I called him his excuse was he had an emergency. WTF! Only after threatening him with a complaint call to HOME ADVISOR did he finally show up the same day at 5pm with the spring he needed to make the repair. In the end, I spent too much time chasing him on the phone with his false promises of keeping his appointments. The final cost of the repair was $165 for a total of 30 minutes work. A little pricy for the amount of time spent on the repair. I can't believe this is the same company that is receiving 4+ stars as reviewed on HOME ADVISOR. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this ?PRO. He doesn't write up the repair (no paperwork); he doesn't keep appointments and he charged way too much for less the 30 minutes work (the repair cost shouldn't have cost more then half the amount he charged). All he had to do is replace a spring. I recommend that HOME ADVISOR drop Lou and his company from available PROs'. I wouldn't want anyone else go through what I experienced with this guy.

They did a great job but keeping me informed as to reasons for delays didn't happen well.

We had a broken mechanism in my husband's recliner as well as a broken handle on another recliner. Customer service was great. He also recommended we purchase the part ourselves to save money.

The job was to reinforce my cabinets and then hang an over the stove microwave that I had purchased. The person who showed up to do the work was a great guy and he clearly wanted to be helpful but he forgot some of his tools and couldn't completely finish the job. He also was completely unaware of the microwave install and it was very clear that wasn't work he had ever done before. The end result of the day of labor was that the cabinet was inadequately reinforced and my microwave still wasn't hung. He told me to call his boss back during the week and schedule a 2nd visit for the rest of the work without any additional charge since he forgot tools and was new at microwave installs. One call and at least 2 texts were completely ignored. Before I hired him they were very responsive and profession but after the project went slightly sideways they weren't completely dark on me. As somebody who manages people, I don't fault the person who came out to do the work. He was clearly not given all the info he needed to do a successful job. Whoever sent him on the job did an inadequate job preparing him and an extremely poor job at communicating with me afterwards. I would not recommend using them.

Wow, our 80-100 year old table looks brand new! Incredible. This company has a passion for bringing furniture back to life. Highly recommend.

They were not on schedule and a bit slow after arrival, but completed the work.

Lou is very meticulous about his work and makes sure you are completed satisfied.

Did a fair job

Great job fixing a gouge in a brand new cabinet. Took his time. Made sure it was as close to perfect as possible.

In our recent move, our grandfather clock (4 generations) sustained some cabinet damage and we wanted it to be kept in perfect condition for the next generations to enjoy. We hired Louis Steen from furniture Medic and this turned out to be an excellent decision. Not only was Louis quick to respond to my inquiry, we made an appointment for a viewing within a couple of days and we hired him. The work was done within a few more days. Louis was prompt, courteous and very professional and handled the repairs beautifully. We can't even tell where the damage was after Louis was finished with his restoration work. On a 1-10 scale. I would rate this service as a 10 for professionalism, friendliness, neatness punctuality and quality. He definitely will be in my notebook for future work if the opportunity arises for his services again.

They did a great job, and even though it was a small job, they came out and did the job pretty quickly.

Lou is reliable and he works extremely hard to make his customers happy! He made a repair that I did not think was possible and he represents quality!

Very knowledgeable, but very disorganized. I think our project was too large for him to handle. He rarely made it to our house on day or time promised, we are still tied up with getting it done after 7 weeks, and too many excuses with employeed problems and other problems. I think he would be good if you have one or two pieces of furniture, but this is a claim being handled by Mover who damaged almost all of our wood furniture and is a large project. He knows what he is doing, but needs to stay with small projects. Sometimes he showed up without materials.

Lou and his team did a terrific Job on a kitchen table I ruined. Wold certainly rehire him and recommend him highly to others. Elaine Ferrari

Louis the owner came to the house to repair 6 maple chairs. He explained what could be done to each chair. He was very personable and listened to what we wanted. He was also very knowledgeable about the construction of the chairs and the repair process. We will hire him in the future and recommend his business to others.
