They did a fantastic job of repairing our fireplace chimney inside and re-inspected to be sure it was done correctly. You will not go wrong using this company. We intend to use them in the Spring for additional brick work. Their pricing was better than competitors. Well worth using them for your home and its protection.

Dennis came by and they used a drone to look at my issue with what I thought was the chimney cap. They brought to my attention possibly issues with the siding and flashing on the chimney where it ties it to the roof. Didn't charge me anything and gave great advice of what to do next to save money Much appreciated.

My partner, Mary, needed a roof on her house in Springfield and we hired them to do that property. We were both very impressed with the entire process. He explained that his team had expand their operation to include brick and concrete front porches and patios. We had already done some research and received a few bids, but we found Dennisâ company provided a competitive offer and we already had several excellent experiences with his company. Well, the job was completed this weekend and it turned out beautifully. As with my roofing experience, his team was on-time and everything went flawlessly from beginning-to-end. The original front porch had brick steps and sides with a concrete top. Dennis and team suggested an all brick â basket weaveâ top which greatly improved the look of the new front porch. Very happy customers with homes in Springfield and Alexandria.

Dennis Ashton and his crew at Virginia Chimney and Roofing Services provided a very reasonable price for brand new gutters and downspouts and his crew did an excellent job in the work. As an indicator of Dennis' integrity, I asked about adding gutter guards, at additional cost. He told me that I didn't need them because I don't have any trees overhanging the gutters. He could have taken my money and done unnecessary work, but he has too much integrity for that.

I contacted Virginia Chimney and Roofing to provide an estimate to repair the crown on my chimney and repoint mortar joints. We scheduled and appointment and they arrived at the scheduled time. The team was very personable and explained what was required and I was given my free estimate. There was no pressure in any respect. I had estimates from other contractors and Virginia's was very fair, reasonable and appropriate for the level of work. I scheduled the work and they arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. I did receive a call informing me that they were running a little late. The crew arrived and performed the work to my satisfaction. I used to be a general contractor and am currently a construction engineer and I can tell you that the entire experience was professional and friendly. The owner even called me after the estimate and after the work was done to ensure that I was satisfied. I am!

The team came out for a free inspection and was really honest that our flue had issues they couldn’t address. They explained the technical issues with us and provided us with trusted recommendations for competitors of theirs that were better equipped to do the repairs we need. We really appreciated their professionalism, honesty, and integrity through the whole process. Once we have the new lining, we’ll be working with them again in the future. They’ve made loyal customers out of us, just in their willingness to be honest and lose money to make sure we get what we need and have a positive experience. I really respect that.

The chimney crew came out and arrived on-time. They assessed an issue on the roof and sent pictures to Dennis - roofing expert. They also completed a minor roof repair for no charge. The crew inspected and cleaned the chimney. A few days later, Dennis came back to look at the roof and identified the cause of a leak and he advised me of my repair options.

They offered a free examination of my flue via camera and I watched the results on a laptop. After cleaning, they discovered a cracked chimney crown and I contracted with them to seal it. Great customer service and one of the best chimney service experiences I've ever had.
