GA Tar-n-Chip Asphalt Paving

Not sure I like the product. It's not real asphalt but it will do for now. The price was right and the road is better than it was.They did what I paid them to do.

Sent 1 person (owner's son) to do a 2 man job b/c help didn't show up. Wasn't going to cover the stone edging the driveway as promised until I insisted. Son finally called his dad for assistance. Hour or so later dad showed up b/c he was one another job across town. Stones were covered. Sealant (oil base) was sprayed. Nice job of that. Oil base seems much better protection than the water base. I would hire them again. Hopefully my experience was just a one off.

WAS GREAT AND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Good guys, Father and sons. Not the best at communication when it comes to scheduling and project scope. Worked diligently to completion. Part of the job had to be redone, due to a drainage issue. Got to give them kudos for making it right, but the end result was not as aesthetically appealing as I had hoped. In any event, the job was done and I am satisfied with the results.

Very easy to company work with and very, very fair pricing. they did what was promised.

From the very beginning these guys were shady. Their equipment looks like 1980 vintage. The Bobcat broke down with half the driveway torn up. Worker sat around for 4 hours waiting for repaired tires to return. The guy had the nerve to ask me for money to fix them!! Finally back working at 5:00pm, worked until dark but did not finish. Bobcat and trailers blocked my driveway the entire weekend (they were supposed to be back on Sat. but claimed they could not find any blacktop). Monday comes and they say they aren't coming! I took vacation days Friday and Monday and told the guy so! Then they show up about 2:00pm Monday. They finish up the old blacktop removal and start paving. Of course, they ran out of blacktop and had to come back the next day. Came back around 11am on Tuesday and finished. I was told by Jimmy that they would fix the creases in the blacktop from the crappy roller job, clean up, fix the concrete he broke and repair the grass he drove over with the bobcat. NONE of that was done (I was not there when they were there on Monday, I had to get back to work). First time I drove on the blacktop it cracked open at one of the corners of the parking space. As it turns out, there was only 1/2" of blacktop applied since they failed to level the parking area correctly. I have texted and called but i get no response. I guess Jimmy is too busy hustling a new customer. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! They are swindlers and fast talkers! This opinion is based on facts and actual accounts of what happened. If I could attach pictures I would. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We are in the approval phase, my plans are to hire within the week. With that said, Jimmy and his son were both very courteous and professional, they met me on site and provided a thorough and fair proposal immediately.
