G.C. Garage Doors

This company told me no fee over the phone but when the guy arrived he tried to charge a service call fee. Then he gave me the wrong measurements for my garage door which was much more expensive than the actual size I’m sure that was done intentionally to make more money. Needless to say I found someone to replace my door for $1000 less than what they quoted me.

I hired Gary to install a new garage door and opener and gave him half down, I had 3 emails from Gary that they were coming on a certain date and they did not show up or call me. Addendum: It is now 1-23-18 and was able to talk to Gary (finally!) about a month ago who advised he would return my deposit but HAS NOT!! I have found him to be untrustworthy.

The agreed price went up which is a shocker to me .I explained in layman's terms what is wrong but he charged extra for material anyway , SSK

Made four trips to install one door. Measured incorrectly. Brought wrong type of door. Took extended time picking up new door. Obviously stopped for long lunch while out. Two full weeks later still not complete. Also damaged door when making first attempt to hook up garage door opener.

They were scheduled to come and we sat home all evening and no one showed. We called and talked to Terrance who said he'd find out from owner, Gary and we never heard back. I called the next day and talked to Jonah who said he'd call right back and never did. I called again and left a message for owner, Gary and never heard back. Very disappointed that we wasted a whole evening waiting for them.

Responded quickly and had the job done in about one hour. Did not try to sell me something I didn't need. I would certainly recommend this company Jack Lane Saint Charles Mo.

The owner of the business came out and repaired my garage door within an hour of calling his business. It was Labor Day, and he didn't charge me for same day service or extra because it was a holiday. He was very cordial and professional. I will use this business again for any future garage door repair needs.

Tech made problem worse. In three trips, I was asked for more and more money--$150, $250, then $400+ . I paid $150 during a no service charge, initial visit(cables not broken, just crossed) Trip two he gave a remote battery stated other part needed for $49. But he tried to charge $150 to relative paying for me. Last trip, $450/opener, because the condo was probably built in the 60's? The age of the building/need for replacement only came after we refused to pay more than $150 for which we got nothing other than the FREE battery. He raised his voice and suggested that I should get a second opinion from his friend at Overhead Doors. I called another company that made the correction(uncrossed cable) and removed a short piece wire left sticking out by G.C. tech. Vera A. and Earnestine A.

Honest, friendly, professional

G.C. came out the day I called, provided an estimate that was reasonable, and replaced the openers and cables, retensioned the springs, and completed the work the next day, working around my schedule.
