GEI Renovation Group

I renovated my bathroom with this company in December and have since been hiring real professionals (plumbers and painters etc) to fix their work. They left me with a shower that made a loud noise and was a risk. They did not clean or dismantle cabinets before painting them and just painted over the hinges. Even when they did something multiple times it was never done correctly. I doubt the workers are licensed professionals as I am often asked if this was a DIY job. My real estate agent came to look at my bathroom, as he often wants to learn about companies to recommend to his clients, and he described the job as unacceptable. In addition to their inability to properly carry out their tasks, I found them displeasing and dismissive.

Very little planning or on-site construction management. Plans were only drawn up for kitchen cabinets and they were inaccurate on one end of the kitchen. In the end, cabinet contractor fixed on day of installation to an end design that did not match the rendering. Contractors for flooring, plumbing, electrical and drywall all different and all came to the work site without a good plan. Dust control was non-existent. Not sure how it would have gone down without us answering questions along the way since we were living in the house upstairs while reno happened downstairs. Project took a month longer than we were told. One of the young contractors was making passes at my wife, came into the house and went upstairs to bedroom to talk to her which was totally not necessary. He was reprimanded by his boss. Cabinet contractor had most attention to detail. Flooring and others made mistakes and omissions that had to be corrected later. A few months later experienced cracks in grout. Probably grouted in some places that should have been caulked instead. Two-star since many issues were eventually fixed, but canâ t go higher due to overall experience and lack of on-site job management and planning especially for the price.

Great experience with GEI Renovation Group. They did a complete demo of our Kitchen and came out awesome. They were professional and friendly and know what they were doing. We had 2 different estimates from 2 differenct contractors of our town and although they did come with reasonable price. You get what you pay for and I feel they knew what we wanted and met our expectations. Still amazed at the new Kitchen! Million of thanks to GEI Renovation Group.
