GEM Plumbing & Heating

GEM came out to look at my toilet. It overflows sometimes without warning. We turned the water off when it happened last. I looked on Angi for a plumber. They texted me directly every other day saying they had crews in the area?so, days after I first reached out to angi, I responded and they came out. They said it would $150 for the the visit. That was fine. When they got here we turned tge toilet on. They didn't do anything to inspect the clog or fix the toilet?and the toilet wasn't actively overflowing at the moment. When they left, they asked for $427 and said it was a diagnostic fee. My husband paid it. He felt like he was taken by Gem. I checked my email and found an invoice from Gem saying they found the toilet in working order. They didn't even touch the toilet and it still backs up. I called Gem and asked for the fee back. They said they would escalate my call and I'd hear back in 1-2 days. I haven't heard anything but I have received 5txts asking if they can come.
