I am suing the contractor that you recomended to me and everyone involved with him. He took my money and did not do the work.

Basement - Remodel
Greg was extremely professional and did top notch work. Our project was to finish a basement, pocket sliding doors in dining room, and custom bookshelves. I've had a number of people experienced with finished projects comment on the high quality of the work that Greg did for us. We have a few future projects and I can only hope that Greg would be available to do them. Greg was easily the best contractor I've ever had work for me and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

This contractor is someone you do NOT want to work with as we found out the hard way. We did hire Mr. Fontaine to work for us to do some MAJOR renovations to an addition on our house. Shortly after we signed a contract with Mr. Fontaine - he ended up not purchasing the needed materials to continue the project after we entrusted him with a very large initial down payment to start the project. In essense he stole $20k and left us financially strapped to complete the project. So far we have had to tap our all of our savings, had to increase and use a very large equity line of credit to complete the project (which will take us years to recoup from), plus the invasion of our home for about a year and the stress we had to endure. Although he supplied the workers to complete the project he started last '03 fall - the project is just now wrapping up in 6/04. Additionally, he is completly unreliable, lies about the status of the project, does not return and ignores phone calls, takes your money to buy personal items (like a new snow mobile and dirt bike) rather than spend the money where it should be. He does not have the experience nor maturity to take on projects that are above minor fixes. From my understanding, he does the same with other customers and was told that he had no intentions of completing our project. Our estimation of this person is that he should loose his license, never be used on any sensative project and just basically be banned from working on a consumer's home.
