Did a great job, but a bit hard to get in touch re follow-up

I called because my furnace would not fire up and was initially told they could come the next day but when Jocelyn heard that I had no heat she managed to "fit me in" and they showed up 2 hours later. My problem was difficult to diagnose, earlier another company told me the starter needed replacement but asked that I call another company if I wanted the part quickly. I relayed the info to GMG with the part # and they ordered the part. First Joe came and spent time diagnosing the problem. Andrew came by soon with the part and Joe asked him to help diagnose. They replaced the starter but it still did not fire up. Andrew continued to inspect the system using a volt meter and determined that that a relay was not working correctly. He "blew" it out and that seemed to fix it. He asked me if i wanted to replace it anyway and I responded that I did not know how to answer the question but decided that it is best to replace if there was a doubt. So now I have a new starter and relay valve that I rally did not need but could not blame them for replacing as that was indicated and in a perfect world . . . Except now comes time to pay the bill: $300 for 2 hours work and $150 for parts plus tax $475.00 . I don't blame them for the cost, it was difficult to diagnose and I told them about the starter and the relay, well there it is, the price, while not happy about it, was fair under the circumstances. I have every confidence that the issue is resolved and the only thing they could have done better was to charge me cost for the parts since they were not necessary to fix the problem. It is guaranteed throughout the season I would prefer that it be a year. The customer service on the original call, their diligence in diagnosing the problem, their courtesy at my home, answering all questions and explaining their work, and they did fix the problem would make me call them again and recommend them to others.

Andrew, Joe and Nick were excellent! I converted my house from high voltage to low voltage to use ecobee thermostats and moved ac vents. Price was very good! Punctual and professional! Explained things and did a great job! Feels like a real family business and they work very well together to get the job done right! Highly recommend! Very sincere workers! I am very impressed! Had a problem and the owner Andrew ran over Immediately and solved the problem. He made me feel like a priority and to that I am very appreciative! Thank you!

We cant recommend Andrew enough. We had a few different estimates from different companies, we went with GMH HVAC because Andrew was the best; very professional and fair. His work was neat, his partner on the job was also very knowledgeable, and he clearly explained how everything worked and answered any questions we had. Overall it was a great pleasure having them do our ductless system. We are so happy and will be using him again in the future for central air for the remainder of the house. Great guy! Another great referral from Home Advisor! When I got in touch with Andrew, the owner of GMG HVAC and told him I had no heat and the house was freezing he said I will get someone to you between twelve and three. True to his word at twelve forty five he called and said Joe will be there in a half hour, and he was! Joe is very friendly and efficient and had the house warming again in an hour. A definite referral!

Excellent experience. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and fixed a very complex wiring issue in just a few hours. Great pricing. Thank you so much Andrew! We will be using GMG from now on.

GMG takes shortcuts and the results show it. They did an A/C compressor and blower replacement. They also replaced some metal duct work with soft duct work. They simply loosely stuffed the soft duct work into the blower housing without any collar or duct tape. It fell out easily and sucked dirt in from the attic. In another area, the round soft duct was attached to a larger rectangle opening and there was a large opening where the cold air was blowing into the attic. The compressor base was installed on WOOD that would rot. I replaced it with slate. When I informed the owner the installation was bad, he replied my expectations were too high. I am having someone else correct the work as they can't be trusted. I have PICS if you want. They also did not apply for the necessary town permit. They finally did and repeatedly said they would send it and the final town sign-off. Nothing was sent and I picked them up. So, check their work and permits.

I found this company on Home Advior yesterday. I spoke with Andrew and he assured me that they would get to me today. Andrew and John arrived on time and our problem was very tricky, it turned out it was electrical and not the AC. The AC ducts were electrified and melted, Andrew and John replaced it but went 10 steps ahead to help my husband look for the electrical issue. Andrew and John were professional, clean and efficient. Andrew also had a baby yesterday and still came today!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company.

Explained everything and suggested no need to spend too much, to change the whole unit, but simply a clean up will do for the time being until it really gets bad.

The other furnace company Comfort Cooling Systems, Corp. really screwed me all day. They made me lose a half a days pay & after they told me several times that they will come over, they never showed up. GMG HVAC, Inc. came over to my home within the hour & they were very professional & did the repair within a half an hour. By the way, they were cheaper than the other company.
