We contacted this company for an urgent sewage pump backup and were charged $800 for diagnosis and manual work. Unfortunately, no repairs were completed and the issue remains unresolved. We were later informed that the pump is burnt and that additional charges would be required. While we understand emergency plumbing services can be expensive, paying this amount without resolving the problem was disappointing. We would have appreciated clearer communication and a more detailed explanation of the work performed.

James has done several plumbing repair jobs for me over the last few years. He is always quick to respond and does excellent work. I have always been more than satisfied with the job he does and will be calling him again if I need anymore plumbing work.

James moved and installed 2 old steam heat radiators in our 120+ year old house. He then identified and fixed the cause of this years-old leak that was destroying our wood floors and 3 previous plumbers failed to fix, but didn't fail to bill me for! My experience with James Hampton was horrible. From the way, he spoke in conversation with comments he made down to the massive mass he made. I had a leaky pipe in my kitchen in the house of my grandmother. James said I needed new pipes as well a new trap which will cost a total of $300 to install. I had to pay cash because HIS Zelle was not working. A few days later the pipe began to leak from the back where the trap is. I alerted him and he told me I kind of figured that. I was waiting for you or your Mom to let me know. He came Saturday, June 20th with no supplies/materials but was telling me I need to pay more money for him to fix it. I declined. He offered a refund of $150. I accepted and I also requested a refund receipt as wells the warranty that he never provided during the first transaction. James only gave my mother $100 and said he will return with the additional $50 and the warranty. He never did. Now, the water is leaking worse than it was before. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE FOR REPAIRS.

James was recommended to us by a trusted contractor who has worked with him in the past and James came at the last minute, on the weekend. Our plumbing problem started as a smallish one - leak under sink needed a valve replaced - and turned into a bigger one involving the main water line to our house which turned into a more urgent problem. He came on short notice and was so warm and friendly and creatively solved the bigger problem for us figuring some things out in order to be able to get it done on the weekend and also did a great job. He also fixed the smaller initial problem quickly and well, after going out of his way and making a run to a 24 hr hardware store. He was also very reasonably priced. We can t say enough how terrific, knowledgeable, patient warm and friendly he was. I m so grateful we know about him and have him for the future. I m the daughter of a plumber and my dad (who couldn t be here to help) was impressed (and grateful).

Extremely quick response; talks and explains to you everything you need to know and tries to assist with whatever he can; works extremely fast. Only reason he got a 4.5 over a 5 is because he wasnt a magician pulling everything out of his hat and he couldn't dry silicone fast enough (ALL NOT HIS FAULT)

I had trouble getting a plumber , but this plumber was willing to come to my home despite the Pandemic and I was grateful.

James Hampton is a terrific plumber and I highly recommend him.

James was very professional and came within 2 hours of our original contact. Which was late in the evening. The job turned out to be more involved than expected but he stuck to it until completion not negating the lateness of the hour. This put me at ease, since the original problem caused a flood in the apartment below. Now, I can be at ease knowing all the parts to the toilet tank have been replaced.

James called right away, promised to come within an hour and violaâ he was there within the hour. He gave me a fair price and took care of the leaky pipe straight away. Nice guy, pleasant and easy to work with. Would recommend him.

James immediately jumped in head first and didn t leave until the job was done. BRAVO!!!
