GWB Carpentry

DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! I paid GWB Carpentry $1,150.00 to drive to my house and not do anything! I hired Garret Burns to replace the balusters and repair some of the treads on my stairs that my Irish wolfhound puppy ate. He came to my house two times to take pictures and measurements. He showed up on June 1, 2018 to start work. The balusters he brought did not match the existing ones. He wanted to use them anyway. I asked him to order different ones. He agreed to this and to return on July 16, 2018 to do the work. HE NEVER CAME BACK. There was a loophole in the contract that allowed him not to do the work because the original project changed. The original project changed because he did not do his homework and find balusters to match. I was even willing to pay him more money and have him replace all the balusters. Because I didn't put it in writing that both he and I signed, Mr. Burns kept my deposit of $1,150.00. He sent me a letter terminating the contract and a check for $106.49 on July 2,2018, stating he would bring by the materials he purchased for the job. He charged me labor for driving to my house and building treads. On July 31, he brought the tread materials which are no good to me because I am not a carpenter, and when I finally find someone to do the work, they will not use Mr. Burns treads because then the new carpenter's work will not be guaranteed.

Garret is very professional, he explained everything he was going to do before starting the work. He promptly supplied a quote the night after he came by. Garrett has a great personality and high quality workmanship. I would highly recommend him for future projects.

Extremely happy with my new deck. Garrett is very professional and explained everything to me. Between my ideas and his I now have a lovely deck to enjoy my summer on. The work was completed on time and on budget. I would not only recommend him without hesitation, I already have him scheduled for another improvement project this summer.

Garret is polite, and professional. He responded the next day to my request, with-in a day he came to give an estimate. Five days later the job is completed. He is prompt , well prepared, his workmanship is excellent and he is tidy and clean. I asked him to give an estimate on a second job! I highly recommend GWB Carpentry.

He showed up on time, worked with me and was flexible with my ideas. I've already recommended him and will continue to do so!
