Jon has owed me $2,700 since March 2021 when we collectively decided to end the job due to issues with his company and the quality of work. Have reached out to him on multiple occasions and he originally said he would refund my deposit but now has gone dark and does not return calls. It looks like he folded his business. I just want my money back as he promised. I genuinely attempted to give him the benefit of the doubt in a tough world seeing what I thought was a young man trying to build a business. Unfortunately, true colors are shining and he is not responding or keeping his word to pay me back.

Basement Remodeling
Constantly delayed by contractor due to non committal for timeline.But we can not get new commitment to timeline from contractor, the result is that he will text at last minute and make a plan to come over and then it will be a no call, no show and then we will have to initiate contact to try and get the contractor to commit to a new time to do work. The communication is lacking by the contractor, he does not answer calls or return calls. When the contractor did do work, we would get home and see that the work was not completed as per our agreement.

"This is a contractor that we referred to Travis. It is not us completing or doing the work. We are helping Travis find a new contractor and doing what we can to help. We have even offered to come help finish the work ourselves."

Kitchen Remodel
They took my money and left the project unfinished. Now I have to hire another company to fix the bad workmanship they provided. Do not hire this company Jon Gabel lies and hires the wrong people. He wont even return my phone calls nor my attorneys. He changes his company name and address to hide from people he screwed over. He should be in jail! I wont stop till I am able to make him take responsibility for the cost and stress he has caused me and my family.

"Maribeth owed money to our subcontractor. She did not pay him. Our subcontractor, JCW quit. We then notified her that no one on our team was willing to work for her any longer. If anyone saw how beautiful her kitchen is, they would realize that there are 2 sides to every story. We worked in her home for 3 months. She insisted that she act as General Contractor of her project. I said please do not start certain aspects of the project until I am there to manage. She ignored. We personally spent $8,000 on her project. Enough is enough. We have been at Gabel Construction since day1. Never changed."

They missed the original agreed upon arrival time and day. Have not sent us an invoice yet. Agreed to come back and finish the job at no cost. Did a temporary fix, which we both agreed to.
