Jay asks you what your vision is, and even if you don't have a clear picture of what you want specifically, he figures out EXACTLY what you need, before you even realize you need it. He pays great attention to detail and I could not be more pleased with my finished "she-shed". It is absolutely amazing!! Everyone I show it to is blown away by what he created!

Garage Construction did a great job on our project. Jay was very easy to work with, he's honest, and he produces quality work. Garage construction demolished our existing garage, built a new oversized garage with an attached utility room and 1/2 bathroom, and poured all new concrete for a front and back driveway and a patio. All of this work was also done with approval from the historic department. I would not hesitate to recommend Jay and Garage Construction.

Garage Construction was hired to build a new garage and master bedroom. I cannot say enough about their time management, attention to detail and cleanliness of the project. Jay and his team are very professional and go beyond to assure you are getting the finished product you are after.

After a garage fire, the contractor referred to me by my insurance company left my garage and family in shambles. I found Jay through homeadvisor and I am so lucky I did. Jay is not your typical General Contractor who you only see when you sign the contract and when they come to pick up their progress payment. He is out there working hard during those 100 degree summer days. Not only did he build my garage better than it was before and quickly, he also waited for me as I got my financing in order; as he doesn't take on another project until he completes the one he is working on. From the moment you meet Jay you know he enjoys his work and takes great pride in producing a great garage. When he tells you "I treat people like I would like to be treated" he really means it. After more than a year without use of my garage (HOA, city, and insurance red tape), my neighbor hired Rappco to repair our adjacent garages that were damaged by fire. Jay gave me a very affordable quote and was on the job within a week. He never took on any simultaneous projects, focusing on getting me back to normal. Always kept me informed at every stage of the repair. Within 3 weeks (most of which was waiting for my new garage door that had to be special ordered) I had a fully functional garage expertly repaired. You simply cannot find a better contractor for your garage! I would give six stars I would it were possible! No lie!

After losing our garage to a hit and run driver, I reached out to Jay and couldn't be happier with the results! Jay designed a replacement garage taking cues from our primary residence to come up with a garage that was both more functional than the original and matched the design of our home. We had just fired the contractor our insurance was insisting we use 4 weeks into rebuilding our garage with nothing to show for it. My wife found Jay looking for someone reputable and familiar with Long Beach. She found Jay after reading several reviews. Jay was on time with the project, on budget and did quality work. It's a remarkable feat into today's time to do what you say you are going to do as I have numerous horror stories with several contractors in the past (who doesn't). Jay was also there swinging a hammer, doing demo, framing and roofing while his plumbers and electric whizzed away. Another thing you don't see in GC's anymore if they are even there to oversee their workers. Lastly, in talking with Jay's crew I noted all of his guys have been working with him for several years into decades. That is a good sign. Jay truly is involved in the project and his people. There were a few minor snags in the timing, but the project was completed. They were responsive and did keep me apprised of the project status for the most.

I have had three different contractors for 3 different jobs (remodel with added room and bathroom, kitchen remodel and garage rebuild) and he was the easiest to work with, I never had to get on him for anything, quality is fantastic and he started this job in mid December and finished it in 5 week adding in the holidays in between. We also had several quotes and his price came in the best. My neighbors and friends plan to hire him for their future jobs.

They did more than they had on the contract. They put lights in the garage where it wasn't specified, which I appreciate. I upgraded the electrical at a nominal cost.
