Garage Experts of Kane County First let me say that â Garage Experts of Kane Countyâ is outstanding. I have had 4-5 different companies provide quotes and estimates for my basement and garage. Some were â way highâ and a few were budget providers. Please note that my basement is 1,200 sq. feet and my garage is a 3-car garage. The other companies that came out to my home spent half of their time putting down their competitors instead of promoting their work and methods of providing a great finished product. Some spent 5 minutes and threw out crazy prices while others gave estimates that they tried to get me to sign immediately. Stating that the price would go up when they stepped out the door. I narrowed down my selection to 2 companies. I requested quotes to contact both of their previous customers. One spent 3 days trying to convince me that references were not the standard in this business (this alone almost knocked them out of the running). When they finally gave me references, they were very questionable. One person stated that if they had to do it over again, they would not have selected that company. One other reference stated the work was good, but it took 3 weeks longer than promised to complete the work. Please read the fine print on the estimates. One stated that they provide â ZEROâ refunds and that they would automatically debit your checking account or your credit card on the last day of work. I asked the question, â What happens if there are problems or issues with the work?â They stated that I would have to contact customer to have a tech come out and resolve the issue. I asked the question, â So you get fund payment even if there are issues or problems with your craftsmanship?â He stated yesâ ¦. With â Garage Experts of Kane County,â I had Eric (the owner) come out to my home 3 times to give estimates and other times to show my wife samples to make sure we selected the best color and options. He was patient, understanding and detailed in his explanation. He walked us through the process, explained his steps and what to expect after everything was completed. When I contacted 3 of his references and they spent so much time on the phone praising his work and his detail to a quality job that I knew I had to select this team. He made sure the cracks in the foundation were sealed and covered. He advised us to turn off the furnace and to close the vents. He worked around our schedule, he assisted in moving items out of the basement (at a nominal cost), and he doubled checked everything he did. Several of my neighbors have looked at my basement in â AWEâ of how outstanding of a job Eric of Garage Experts of Kane County completed. In closing, save yourself a ton of time and effort.
