Garcia Painting & Construction

Took our deposit tore down the fence and never returned. DO NIT TRUST HIM.

I hired Garcia Painting for a full interior job with an additional $3,000 quoted to sand oil-based trim. The sanding was not done properly, causing peeling within days. I had to assist with the sanding myself, and the project dragged on far beyond the promised timeline. Abel rarely checked on his workers, missed several scheduled appointments, and I had to constantly follow up. Although he eventually replaced the ruined upstairs trim at no charge and accepted a reduced payment, the process was exhausting. After being paid, he did not return to clean up and left paint stains on my marble tile. Not a company I?d recommend to friends or family. Document everything if you choose to hire them.

DO NOT HIRE THIS? COMPANY? FOR ANYTHING! Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. We ended up firing Abel and the crew for breach of contract. If I could leave a review with no stars I would. They are unprofessional and should be removed from Angi list so no homeowner will have to deal with the dishonesty and drama that make up Garcia Painting Construction. Scope of Work: 1) Demo kitchen wall and structurally reinforce ceiling with double LVL: Did not install a double LVL beam and rebrace the rafters as agreed upon. In fact, no structural beam was used at all, and instead, the rafters were sloppily braced. Per our phone call with Abel on Saturday (8/21), he confirmed that the beam was being delivered later that same day. After inspecting the attic it is clear only bracing occurred. 2) Demo kitchen floor: This was complete but the crew damaged our base cabinets severely and now we need to purchase replacements. 3) Extend pantry and add a pocket door: Did not install a door. Abel in fact lied on two separate occasions about having a door already in possession. 4) Rearrange electrical - This portion was mostly completed. 5) Retexture and paint ceiling - Retexturing was completed but they did not paint the ceiling. 6) Paint kitchen cabinets. - First coat was latex over oil. After spraying texture on the ceiling it got on the cabinets AND THEY AGAIN SPRAYED LATEX OVER OIL AND ALSO OVER TEXTURE. Additionally, the crew was extremely messy and did not clean up on a daily basis, and left two of our bathrooms clogged and disgusting. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY NO MATTER HOW LOW ABE PROPOSALS ARE. Abel Garcia is dishonest do not place your trust in him. He will not do what he says.

There is no excuse for poor services.

The team does an amazing job, are very precise AND efficient! They are very upfront about the work they are going to do; there were no hidden charges, and the whole process from start to finish was seamless and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Was more than fair on price

Abel and his team did a great job painting our cabinets. He was informative, professional, and punctual. He takes the time to listen to what you want and time to answer any questions. We are very grateful we hired Garcia Painting & Construction!
