The reason we chose Garvin was for an expert installation. Our experience from the first day of construction when the crew did not have all the needed equipment along with the quality of work was not that of an experienced company. The crew seemed inexperienced and hired right off the street. A 3 day job took 7- 10 days including the time that the warranty crew had to return to fix everything. Gutters were installed, some backward before the roof was complete which caused additional rework to both the roof and gutters. As issues were discussed with the crew, it seemed like communication and craftsmanship got worse. The final walk through was no better. For every issue we had, there was an excuse for why. It was not until it was brought up that the workers were exposing guns that it seemed like our issues were going to be resolved. We were insured we would have a stable beautiful roof for the rest of our lives and now we feel like we will be dealing with the warranty crew for the rest of our lives. If you are looking for good customer service, this is NOT the company to go with. They definitely do not believe the customer is always right.If you want an expert roofing company go with someone else because these guys are anything but experts.

Lack of communication between sales rep and construction crew. Also, came 1 month earlier than was originally told without notification. Work was done well and metal roof looks nice. Just lacking in communication.

What a nightmare. From predatory consultations, trying to upsale me later on for new gutters (which for the price, no, they should have been included with this loan amount), inexperienced workers (who had no ladder and had to ask ME to use MY 24ft extension, and no metal roofing experience before my house), and no project manager, consultant, anyone came out to really look at the situation. I had expressed I had a terrible leaking roof which is why I wanted metal done, never got put on the papers, so I had to call personally to have someone out to tarp. Then I got flooded and thank the heavens I had what coverage I did... They tried to push the job right after severe flooding and rain, and wanted to use moldy wood, I had to argue with them against it! That's ridiculous! And since the inexperienced crew didn't know how to level/shim the addition of the roof, I have a very noticeable dip that's even more highlighted. Only positive things: I like the color of the roof, and bless the one guy (G) who did more than he needed to for a job that wasn't even his! I can't get this dip fixed because the existing roof would be trashed and it all comes down to money and them not wanting to fix their own mistakes. This job was to be easy and not where I had to micromanage a crew from a roofing company, but I couldn't take off work to do that. Regrettably, I probably should have.

This man was so professional and the price was so reasonable (warranties and everything he offered) I signed a contract on the spot which I never do. I am so happy with the work I do not regret my decision. The workers were so nice and QUICK. I couldn't speak more highly of them. The roof came out absolutely beautiful.

Garvin Construction is outstanding. Manager Mike Novak provided excellent service and assistance in helping me assist my sister in Wyoming replace her asphalt roof in November 2017. From start to finish all of Garvin’s emloyees from The estimator, Sam, to he entire install team, were professional and fully committed to customer satsfaction. The most impressive aspect of the work was the finishing details they completed to make my sister totally happy with her new roof. The experience was so great that we are returning to them without any questions or reservation to get some additional work done. Thanks to the entire Garvin team for a job well done. Jeff and his crew at Garvin Construction did a a great job on our roof. The crew was very nice and polite. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards as well. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new proof.

Roof installed in September started leaking with the first hard rainfall in October. Kitchen was flooded. I called Garvin got and they came and stopped the leak. Then I made several calls to find out how and when they were going to fix the roof. Garvin finally responded when I posted a negative review. They came and repaired the roof and promised to repair the water damage to the interior. They finally finished that in February. Then in April when the snow melted I have another leak, this time in the living room. Garvin came and repaired the roof but at this point I have no confidence in their work. They were supposed to contact me two weeks ago to arrange repairs to the interior damage but I have not heard from them. Garvin Construction should be making every effort to resolve this situation but here I am writing another negative review while waiting for Garvin to call. I guess I will have to call them again although they should be calling me. Now that the review is back up they are calling me. After a month with no contact "Chris" called and said he would be there within the hour to start work. Unfortunately I was already at work and my wife had an appoint that morning. I called Mike at Garvin's office to tell them again to call and make arrangements to come and work when someone would be home. Chris did show up the next week as scheduled but did not know what he was there to do or how to do it. Chris is a roofer - not an interior finisher. If he has any ability with spackle it is limited. I called Mike and he arranged to send Charles on Wednesday - then Chris calls Monday morning to make an appointment. I guess no one talks to each other. Still have work scheduled for Wednesday. I just want this over with and fixed right. not sure this is going to happen with these people. They should hire a professional to get the job done right and on a timely basis so I don't have to deal with their presence in my home - when will this end?

Garvin construction did a great job on our roof. The crew always cleaned up each day and were always polite. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof. Such great service

Cost was less then I expected for the quality and service. They seem to continue calling and checking on the roof throughout the year to make sure everything is good and that I'm still satisfied. Job took only a day and some change.

Chuck and his crew went above and beyond what was expected of them. They continued to work through some nasty weather, not letting it affect their quality of work in the least bit. They were a nice, polite, and professional bunch of guys. I would highly recommend Garvin Construction for any roofing needs.

Garvin Construction is the BEST! They have done everything for my house: new bathroom, new deck, and new metal roof. They come no finer!

The salesman told me since my roof was in bad shape, that it would be 2-3 weeks when the job would be done. Estimated 2 day job. Garvin subcontracted the job, it was 7 weeks and took 6 days. In all fairness, three of the days was because of intermittent rain.

The initial sales pitch sounded incredible and it sounded like the work was going to be done by Garvin Construction employees, so we hired them even though the price seemed a little high. We found out later it was higher because Garvin didn't do the work themselves, something that was NEVER mentioned until we found out ourselves after the workers showed up and started the job. Garvin subcontracted a "Chuck with a Truck" kind of business even though they specifically told us during the initial sales pitch that one of the reasons we could be confident in Garvin's work is because they weren't a Chuck with a Truck"- type business. In mid-May, we decided to hire them. In early June, we were told our roof work would begin at the end of July. At the beginning of July, we got a call from the finance company asking if the work was completed to our satisfaction because they would be releasing the funds to Garvin the next day. Garvin sent in their request for funds, claiming that the work was already done, when in fact it was not even begun yet! I received about 4-5 more calls like this throughout the month of July. The actual work started on July 20; keep in mind we were still under the impression it wasn't going to start until the end of the month. We received NO advanced notice otherwise. They just showed up the night before with a long flatbed trailer full of supplies. Then the issues began. First off, Garvin employees told us on several occasions it was a 2-day job. The "Chuck with a Truck" workers who showed up told us 3-4 days. It actually took a total of 2 weeks and 2 days from start to finish. The only time a Garvin employee showed up at the site was on the second day (oddly enough, no one from the work crew showed up or even called that day) only to put a Garvin Construction sign in the front yard. When I called Garvin to see if they knew why the roofers didn't show that day, they lied to me and said the subcontractor's truck broke down. However, the subcontractors later said there was a medical emergency which turned out to be the truth. The next time they worked ended up with a passer-by getting hurt (cannot say more about it as we are now being sued for this) by a sharp piece of roof debris. Garvin claims they are not responsible because the subcontractors have insurance and it is their problem, not Garvin's. Then why is it that WE are the ones getting sued when we did nothing wrong? Anyhow, the NEXT day after the injury, the subcontractors we're not being any more safety conscious. If someone got hurt around my worksite, you better be sure I'd triple check the safety protocols of my workers from there on out! Then as time slowly crept along and as the work was getting done a section at a time, we starting seeing that the quality of the workers wasn't as exemplary as the quality of work Garvin showed us on their initial sales pitch. Eventually (around day 11) I called them to ask why no one from Garvin had shown up to check their work sinc
