A guy came dressed shabby, looked at my dirty pool and said I am not gonna clean it today because it is really windy and it is only going to get dirty again. So he just skimmed on the top. I gave him the key to my gate, he left without locking my gate. Came back on the next scheduled day, proceeded to pull out a hose to attach it to my filtration system to clean my pool which was full of dirt and gunk because it had been so windy and had not been cleaned for over a week. I said to him dont you have your own cleaning pump? And he said oh, the pool guy has it and he is very busy cleaning pools. I said are you going to clean my filter out after you put all this junk in it? And he said no, I do not have any equipment, this is all I got. Which was a net, hose, and pool testing kit. I would not recommend them to anybody.

If I could give them zero stars I would! Gary & Sons originally completed my new pool/deck in March 2017. Loved what they did at first- it looked great. After the first rains we had, I found water in my kitchen and the drains they placed flooded. The drains weren't connected to anything but only each other and they overflowed in to my kitchen causing damage. I called Gary, he came out and looked at it and stated" oh, the deck is too high, we should have had it lower". He then was going to charge me another $1200 - 1500 to fix his error by putting in a 50 gal French Drain - why he didn't do this to begin with is beyond me - he wasn't anticipating Palm Springs rain I guess and figured he could get away doing a cheap job. We went back and forth and then stopped responding to me so that we could resolve the problem. Then, the tiles on the wall he put in have started to come off - they were not cemented properly and are loose. I now have to have the tiles removed and recemented to the wall. Run away from the guy - during the project he kept coming back to me saying he needed more $$ to complete the project. I now need to engage another contractor to fix the drainage system - they need to pull up part of the deck to fix the system . And need a contractor now to fix all the tiles as they are falling off. And he refuses to address the problems he made without a lot of additional money. Also, he uses a number of subcontractors and often wasn't on the job to watch what was happening, if he had been, my issues would not have happened. Very poor workmanship and professionalism.

Gary re-surfaced and re-tiled our pool. He and his crew completed the job when he said they would. He made our old pool look brand new and it makes our yard look awesome!

We had Gary & Sons install a spa & pool in our La Quinta home over the summer. This was a bit scary as we not going to be around to track the project. Gary kept in great contact during each phase of the project and sent us lots of update pictures. As with most projects , there were some unknown issues and Gary handled them professionally and fairly. The project turned out better than expected. The team is super knowledgeable (three generations in the pool business) and helped us make great decisions. We would not hesitate to use this Company again.

My experience with Gary and Sons was excellent. My medium size pool required re-plastering and updated tile. I had expected the job would require 2-3 weeks. We drained the pool on the weekend. On Tuesday morning the old plaster chipping operation began with 4 jackhammers and was completed by noon. The chip material was removed and on wed. morn the tile setter visited. On Thursday the tile people arrived and completed the tile job by early afternoon of that day. Early Friday morning the concrete shell was prepared for new plaster. A crew of six arrived and the plaster work was finished by midafternoon. By 4 p.m. the pool began to be refilled! This job took only four days. All of the workmanship was excellent and I congratulate and thank Gary and Sons for their effort.

Gary & his crew do a great job, they do exactly what they say they will do & keep you informed every step of the way. We love our new pool!!

My husband and I just hired Gary & Sons to replace the skimmer and install an auto-filler system to our pool. Gary came to the house to provide a quote; we were impressed by his professionalism and service offering. The day of the project Gary's sons arrived on time and began work. Within a very short time we knew we were in very capable hands - they were extremely knowledgeable, professional, respectful and polite. Every family should be so fortunate as to have such wonderful young men! Three generations of pool and spa professionals, the business sense and strong knowledge base has been clearly handed down. The finished product looks great! Gary was a pleasure to deal with. Easy choice, pick Gary and Sons. We received five bids. Not only was Gary's bid the best, but you really get a sense of the high quality of the man (and his sons) when you meet him. He stuck to his bid, finished the pool and spa with the highest standards, and was very honest and sincere throughout the build. You can get five bids of your own, but Gary's is the only one you'll need.

I never really write a review but i can honestly say that i got several quotes before hiring Gary and Sons and Gary was the best priced and most honest when it came to building our pool. We have recommended Gary and Sons to many of our friends and they have all come back to agree with us. Even after three years i can still reach him regarding certain question of add ons and upgrades and he will let me know if we need or not. I highly recommend Gary and Son.

Gary and Sons gave me a bid and stuck to the price that was quoted. I designed the pool and Gary and Sons executed it to perfection. Gary kept me appraised of every step of development and any changes that needed to be made. Gary and Sons were efficient, courteous and professional as were all of their subs. I have had 12 pools built and this was by far and away the best experience I've ever had in dealing with a pool contractor. We've had many people from around the neighborhood stop by to admire the work that Gary and Sons accomplished.

Gary and his crew were a pleasure to work with. He came up with great drawings and walked through the whole project from start to finish. We love our new pool and would hire him again if we ever build another pool. He also called after project was complete to make sure we were happy. We would highly recommend to use his services.

Our pool and decking needed an overhaul having been originally built in 1993. We interviewed five different pool design companies based in the Palm Springs area. Gary And Sons wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive but Gary was certainly the most professional. Their pricing was roughly competitive and we decided to use Gary because he seemed the most knowledgeable and the most professional in terms of explaining our opinions and the cost implications of each. He also impressed us with the samples he brought. From start to finish the entire remodel including the patching and painting of our concrete decking took approximately three weeks. We opted for a pebble tech re-plastering, which looks amazing. The water looks so blue and inviting and we selected glass tiles which are beautiful against the aqua pebble tech plaster. Gary did a wonderful job graduating the tiles around the pool and trimming the steps of the pool. Gary also was wonderful about scheduling each phase of the remodel and he worked around our schedule seamlessly. I was dreading this whole process but Gary And Sons made it as painless as possible. He's definitely someone who should turn to, if you need a swimming pool designed or remodeled.

Gary and Sons is a great company to work with. My white plaster pool was stained and the old tile was chipped. I also wanted to go to a salt water system and have an auto refill valve installed. I had an appointment for an estimate within 2 days of first talking to Gary and Sons. The work was done on schedule and the quality is excellent. Each crew, the demo guys, the tile workers, and the pebble tech crew were all skilled at their jobs and very courteous. I could not be more pleased with my new salt water pebble tech pool. I highly recommend Gary and Sons for any pool work needed.

We have a 50's pool that was old and in poor shape. Gary & Sons replaced the plaster, tile, coping, plumbing & pump/heater. A new in-ground spa was installed too. We retained that fabulous 50's design. Gary & Sons also installed over 1100 sq ft of new cement patio. The process was painless! Gary & Sons stayed on budget and on schedule delivering top quality workmanship. The best contractor I've ever hired.

Gary and Sons oversaw the complete remodel of my backyard including new pool finish, a new in ground spa, a new fire pit, and a new BBQ. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and I have yet to meet anyone as flexible and honest as Gary and his team and in any kind of construction project that is first and foremost of importance. What made it even better, I obtained 10 bids and Gary's bid was better than everyone else. Gary and his team care about the customer and the quality of their work and it shows in the final product. Contractor was professional and very patient with our work changes. We also liked that Gary and Sons had been in the Valley for many years so we felt comfortable that they would be around to take care of any problems during construction and post-completion too

Gary and Sons were extremely professional! I interviewed 4 contractors, from the big names to the smaller companies. One big company never even bothered to show up. After meeting with Gary I hired him on the spot. They actually did everything they promised, gave great design advice, and were on time to the minute! We had a complete new pebble surface, new split drains, and new ledger stone installed on our water feature and hot tub...looks like a million dollar pool, for a very reasonable price. If in doubt, just hire them, they will get the job done to your satisfaction

The build quality of this spar was excellent. Work was done in a timely fashion. Best price for the work performed....... Couldn't have found a better builder.... Just wish I would have gotten all the owner manuals for each of the different pool equipment, pump, filter, heater..... Great Job!!!!

Gary and his sons were friendly, accessible when needed or when asked about aspects of the project. They were excellent about clean-up and adapting to suggestions from me during the course of work. I hired Gary after seeing a couple of his other work projects and got two important ideas from those: adding a fire pit and a "sheer descent" waterfall. I chose to use two different tiles and created a design for integrating the new ideas and the two tiles to the existing pool in renovation. Gary carried this design out perfectly. I highly recommend him for any pool projects.
