Gary and Sons Inc opened for business in 1978 as Gary's Dehydrator and Stoves. Soon their reputation as wood and coal stove specialists led them into the wood and coal central heating business. As their experience continued to increase, Gary and Sons Inc. quickly became a leading heating and cooling installation specialist, encompassing all fuel types. Today the heating and cooling business is still the keystone of Gary and Sons Inc. but Gary and Sons continued dedication to their customers needs has given birth to a wide range of new products and services such as, annual maintenance agreements and 24 hour emergency service, zero clearance gas and wood fireplaces, Keystoker automatic fed Anthracite coal stoves, furnaces and boilers, as well as vented and vent free gas logs. Additionally, Gary's offers a full range of gas unit heaters, an expanded service and maintenance department and Gary and Sons high-powered duct cleaning service.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I purchased a new furnace from Gary & Sons in the fall of 2024. I knew I was overpaying at $7800 for their bottom of the line furnace, but I was drawn in by their promise of excellent service. I bought their maintenance program which is supposed to get me a discount on parts and priority service scheduling. In Feb 2026, we had a power surge that took out our furnace. It wasn't covered under their warranty due to the power surge. Frustrating, but certainly understandable. Gary & Sons came out to diagnose it same day (Friday). The repair tech installed a control board that immediately shorted out again, and he determined it also needed a blower motor. Those needed to be ordered, which were supposed to be overnighted (Saturday). I heard nothing from them on Saturday, so I called again and was told the parts didn't get ordered until Saturday, and they were expected Monday. No word from them Monday until I called to check what the status was in the

The sales person listened to my requests and was very detailed in how my system would be installed. The installers were professional, competent and kept their work area clean. There was one miscommunication on the location of the condenser, but they corrected the issue to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Gary & Sons. Jim

There were a couple problem that Gary's is in the process of correcting. The service guys were excellent and the customer rep has been very helpful. I'm an engineer so I'm probably more exacting than their normal customer but I think that they would do a good job for anyone. This is not the first thing I bought from this company. I find that, although they are not the cheapest contractors around, they are one of the most dependable. They arrive when they say, they work hard and well, and they back what they sell. What more could anyone ask.
