For more than three decades, Gary’s Audio & Video Installations has designed premium lifestyle solutions for homes and businesses across Northeast Florida. As your local Control4 specialist, we bring audio, video, lighting, and smart technology together with simple, intuitive control. From home theaters and whole-home audio to outdoor entertainment and commercial presentation systems, we design around the way you live and work. We begin by listening to your goals and discussing your investment. Our $185 site survey and design retainer is applied toward your project total when you move forward. To deliver a system we can stand behind, we generally do not install client-supplied or pre-existing equipment. We may consider existing components that are under warranty and meet the system’s design requirements. Let’s discuss the experience you envision. Hours: Mon–Fri, 10 AM–6 PM; Sat, 10 AM–3 PM.

Universal Remote Control Consolidation and Programming Service
Gary is a nice man and he advised me that they charge $185 to survey my Control4 system. I was told that the $185 charge would be credited to any work they performed. Gary spent about 1 hour looking at my system and advised me that my controller was bad. He prepared a detailed estimate for the repairs to get my system working once again. Gary sent me an estimate to restore my system for $2,034.27. I gave them a $1,000 deposit and in a few days they came and installed the new equipment. Then he advised me that my HDMI extender was bad. The additional cost would add another $1,099.96 to my bill. After installing the new HDMI extender I was advised now my receiver and amplifier were both bad and that I'd have to pay over $5,000 to get my system running. I was already out $3,000. He suggested additional repairs costing only $1,730 but I'd have to pay 1/2 BEFORE he would schedule the work. I agreed to pay 3 days before install. Gary did not agree. BEWARE of their hidden cost tactics.

Gary and Jeremiah were excellent in returning my phone call on my initial inquiry of redoing my surround sound system. Thereafter the first meeting, they came up with a fair proposal of modernizing my house with new audio and video technology. They both have exceeded my expectations in every way. "It is always a deep regret when we cannot come to a satisfying resolution. However, it should be noted that we do charge to come out and do a survey, which the homeowner was fully aware of. If you were to look through our reviews, you will see that our customers typically are more than happy with our services. We have 27 years of experience and technology going into each survey, that cost is deducted from the overall total of services rendered. All of this is duly noted on our profile."
