Back towards the middle of August, Mr. Matthew came by to give us a quote of $3,330.00 to make repairs on our back porch, to remove the seating,remove the steps and built a ramp, power wash it and paint it. We also asked to remove weeds from the side of our driveway up to 4ft. We didn't receive a written quote. It was a verbal quote. That he would give us the estimate contract at the end of his work. He said he needed half, a deposit for a downpayment of $1,500. He came by the very next day and picked up a check, a deposit of 1,500 and sped off without giving us a receipt for the downpayment. He just told us that we can buy the supplies, which took 2 weeks to get the list. A few days later he still had not come to do the work. We called several times without a response. In September we finally got a call that he was coming on Monday the 7th of September . Then we got a call a few days before he was to start, told us he couldn't come Monday cause it was a holiday. He said that he would start on Tuesday the 8th . That came and went. His excuse was he broke a tooth and was a the dentist to get fixed. He said he would be by after he was done. That afternoon came he never arrived. I called, his friend answered and said he needed teeth pulled and was sleeping. He came on Wednesday the 9th of September and just took off and replaced the top of the 2x4's on the railings. Less than two hours of work. On Thursday he was to come back to work but got a text that he had to take his son to the hospital. So he never came back. On Friday the 11th he came to remove the steps and replace it with a ramp. The ramp is not under code. It is very steep and unable to go down and walk up it. Not able to get up with a wheelchair. There is no support underneath and no railings built up to it. After we saw this, my wife and I were not happy with the job. He even left his trash behind. He is not a perfessional contractor. Not only is his work choppy but he is a terrible communicater. Very late response or no response. We don't want him to come back and we are seeking $750.00 of our deposit with no payments due. We read reviews about his business. Another customer had the same experience. We wish we had read that first before we hired him. He should be pulled out of your list and not to be recommend to do business with anyone. He will just take your money and run without doing the work correctly.

We contacted this company a little over a month ago to have drywall put in a Groom suite for our wedding venue. We prepaid for all of the materials in advance. My point of contact was Matthew who also is the owner of Gator, Cut, And Construction. He told us that he would arrive in the morning and it should take 1 to 2 days for the project. We paid 50% down and balance was supposed to be due when project was complete. It has now been a month. Project is still in shambles. The owner never responds to Messages and has not returned to finish the project, even though we were promised multiple times that he would be there. There always seems to be some sort of an excuse. I asked him to please refund our money and I would just hire somebody else. He refuses to refund the 50% deposit. We were gone for two weeks and he promised it would be done before I got back. Project is still in limbo. He is very unprofessional and unreliable. I will be filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Update as of 09/04/2026: I wanted to edit the review because we did end up hiring somebody else to come in and do the work that we hired this company to do, but it would not give me an opportunity to edit. So I wanted to address a couple of other things. They did not secure the the insulation properly it was not stapled in, also they did not put any boards in the corners to support the drywall when you leaned on the walls the drywall went in, which would have been an issue once we started utilizing this Grooms cabin. The new company that we hired is having to take down the drywall that was put up and redo it so it is done property.Also, they had asked us to pick up materials and they took a bucket of drywall screws for their own personal use. Do your homework and do not hire this company.

The team with Gator Cut & Construct did a great job replacing the liner in our above ground pool. After working through some weather delays, they knocked it out. They are experienced and knowledgeable about the process. They took care of some unforseen issues below the pool before installing the new liner. It was a little more involved than originally thought but they addressed everything at a fair price. I would recommend them and will call them again for any pool maintenance needs.
