Very good work on both water damage/rot repair and two small decks on second story. Cost was less than half the (admittedly outrageous) price quoted by the first contractor to show up. Strongly recommend and would hire again. Hard workers who use tools rather than lean on them.

Gavin was extremely profesional. He was always there when he said he would be. He worked quickly and built the deck exactly like I had asked. He left the hard totally clean and took all trash to the transfer. He and his crew were very kind and profesional. His price was very reasonable. I would hire him again with no questions or concerns. The work was poorly done (very poor workmanship, working illegally (no building permit was obtained), promises of reporting to work on the job, and then not showing up with no explanation of why or rescheduling. As reported, I would like my work completed to a professional standard. Right now, it is poorly done, and I would like to have it completed by someone who can do professional work in a timely fashion. I would choose NOT TO have Liscombe finish the work and either be refunded for the amount overcharged, or to compensate whoever I'm able to contract with to finish the work well. I feel that a refund of $8000 to cover the inflated cost of the job, the building permit, and associated fine due to noncompliance with building permit requirements, and an estimated cost to complete the project to professional standards would be fair.

AVOID hiring Gavin at all costs. We hired him to put in some basement supports, install a door, and put in a new shower. The two of the columns he installed weren't even nailed in or supported in any way. We hired another company to come in and it all needs to be redone. The tub and shower has a crack that we had to get repaired. He never cleaned up the old debris and I had to take everything to the dump myself. The plumber he brought did horribly work. We had to rip open the wall behind the shower and have another plumber come in, that was $1300. This was a NIGHTMARE experience.

My contractor got the job done right... and went above and beyond in making my basement look fabulous........he comes with my recommendation to anyone who wants to hire him.... well done ... Liscombe crew!!!

I like Gavin and his crew. Sadly, the porch repair he did was not a priority for him. Repeated mistakes and countless no-show days made it challenging to work with Gavin. A $1000 cost overrun and a large pile of construction debris that remains in my yard (Its removal was part of the bid) make it impossible to recommend his company for larger projects. Gavin said he and his crew would come last Sunday to clean this pile up, but alas, they did not show up, and I have no confidence that they ever will.

Gavin was timely and congenial. He replaced a shingle on our barn roof and installed a rain diverter over the barn doors very quickly, and he got the job done when he said he would.

Gavin was a referral. I considered Gavin a Godsend and had originally given him a positive review. My mistake as he would give us quotes for work and was constantly requesting more money for materials. He would either purchase too much or not enough. He was great in the beginning, showing up early and staying through the day to work, then he started to arrive later and later, if at all. He'd leave to get material or tools that he neglected to bring and wouldn't return for days. I liked Gavin I had trusted him; he's a nice man. I was constantly asking him to pick up after himself as he'd leave his Dunkin coffee cups thrown around the property, It was frustrating picking up after him. We had paid him to install new gutters. He never completed the job. When my husband contacted him about finishing the job, he asked for more money. My husband asked him for an invoice first; Gavin ghosted us. Truly disappointed. But your own materials and pay him AFTER he completes job.

Gavin repaired a deck for us. He is an excellent craftsman, highly efficient, fairly priced and personable to work with.

Gavin came by on his day off to look at the job and he was very prompt at coming by the following day to take care of the situation. Very pleased with his work.

We hired Gavin to finish our basement. He assured us he could do the job. He came by referral from someone who had used his services before. First 2 weeks were great until he had been paid a n full. Our fault for trusting him. He never finished everything he said he would and we are still not in our basement and finishing the job ourselves. We are redoing the trim work and replacing the doors ourselves. What a waste of money We were quoted a price and paid him over that price and he still did much less than he said he would and installed used products that are broken and dirty and don?t match. The drywall was never sanded appropriately, the electrical work that was contracted out had to be redone, the door is broken and used, the job site was left dirty and trash was left on site for weeks. Very disappointed. Would never recommend.

Gavin was able to get all the work - siding repair, soffit and roof repair, chimney flashing, and various vents - completed quickly and within the quote he provided. He was thorough in his work, and in his cleanup afterward - he made sure where were no waste materials, scraps, debris, or nails/screws left after he was done. I have already asked him to come back and do more work I needed!
