Gem Air is not licensed and not insured John of Gem Air, is taking advantage of a senior, I would not recomend this company to anyone.

Would never recommend this company to anyone, they are thieves and do lousy work. I had a heating and air-conditioning unit installed and I am still having problems with it. Already spent more money repairing what John installed he refuse to come back after several calls, The work is shabby. And they are not licensed. I am a senior citizen and I guess I thought I was an easy pray.

East or West John is the BEST. I installed a new central A/C unit and a Tankless water heater system. Johnâ s price was reasonable in comparison with others. Very professional and he knows what he is doing. He listens to what a customer wants to do, then he will give you his personal advice and finally he will do exactly what you want him to do. I highly recommend him and I assure you Gem Air is the company you want to hire.

John from Gem Air is one of the most Professional,honest, and knowledgeable people that I have ever had the pleasure of having work on a problem in our home. Our Air Conditioner stopped working yesterday and our home rose in temperature to 90 degrees. If youâ re looking for a an HVAC company that knows what theyâ re doing AND at a reasonable price, John and his company are your guys. I hired John for my prior house and my new house that we are in now. In under 5 minutes of looking at my HVAC system, John was able to determine exactly what the issue is and was able to quickly order the parts and fix it. My house now is exactly the way I want it: an icebox on a 90 degree day (which I did not think was possible when I bought this house). They honestly are the best in the business!

John of Gem Air was an excellent representative for this company. As senior citizens with lots of questions he was patient and wiling to listen to what the homeowner wanted . He explained what was possible and cost effective in replacing a 40 year old oil heating system and installing central air conditioning in a four story brownstone with a forced air system. John explained the project s timeline for removal of old heating system and installation of the new heating and central air conditioning system. The best thing about Gem Air was the fair and affordable pricing for the project. We would highly recommend Gem Air for any brownstone owners looking to upgrade and install heating and central air conditioning system. Happy customers John and Lorraine F.

Recommended by a co-worker. In the midst of a heatwave, my 15 year-old AC died. Called Frankie at Gem Air; he came out Thursday night and gave me a quote. He came back on Friday and installed the AC. The price was more than fair, the work exceptional. The best.

John Marsh was fast, reasonable and knowledgeable. His crew was very accommodating and they cleaned up after the work was done. John continues to reach out to make sure I am still happy.

John Marsh was great and his team was also. I had a few contractors in to do estimates installing central air and take out an old furnace in a townhouse with existing ducts. The others generally wanted to rip apart a lot of walls to add more ducts and put in oversized AC units. I had been reading about AC for weeks and knew what size unit I needed and the limitations of the existing ductwork. I didn't want to rip apart walls at this time; I can add a small mini-split system on the top floor(s) later. John was different from the other contractors: he respected my wishes about what size unit to install (3 ton rather than ~5 ton) and was forthcoming about its limitations: "It should cool the bottom two floors well but I definitely can't guarantee that the top floors will get that cool." That was exactly what I wanted and expected. He was obviously very generally competent talking to him. The crew showed up on time and did excellent work. End result: It's 88 degrees outside and the whole house is nice and cool including the top floors with only a few degree difference between the top and bottom floors. It turns out the other contractors were completely full of it. This thing is working even better than I had hoped.

John earned my trust when he advised me against installing air conditioning with my new furnace because it wouldn t work well in my situation. Also, he did exactly what he said he was going to do, when he was going to do it, for the price he quoted. His crew worked hard, were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. The furnace seems to work well, but I ll have to wait until next winter to see if it really does it s job the way it should.
