I had half of the work ripped out and redone by someone else. It was really poor quality work.

They showed up on time; were extremely pleasant to have in our home. Cleaned up after themselves - swept and removed sawdust. Stacked remaining lumber neatly. Noticed something that hadn't been included in the quote and took care of it at a minimal charge. I will definitely call them again when we're ready to tackle our next project!!

He showed up on the first day without his tools. And on other visits, showed up without the right tools or materials. Did not listen to my request and instructions. And I ended up with the service that were not what I wanted. And I would not recommend him.

Mr. Olsen was disappointing!

We don't always go with the lowest bid but we pay attention to costs and Gene's bid was one of the really reasonable ones. Gene was good to get back to us when we called about something. He was genuinely concerned that we be happy about the project. His workers were really nice guys. The porch is all done and so lovely, just what we wanted!

We did a kitchen remodel that included taking out walls and creating an open floor plan. Gene and his crew were very friendly. For the most part, easy to get along with. He was very attentive, especially at the beginning. We had very little knowledge in this area so I found him to be very patient while I made decisions. He had very good sub-contractors that were also very friendly. Overall, the work was done well, on-time and on budget. When I made comments of things that needed fixing, he took care of them. I have very few complaints. Now that the project is done, it is a totally different house. I love it.

I used Gene and his crew for a bathroom remodel project. The job was completed on budget, on time, and I am very happy with the finished product. Gene was great to work with. When I was unsure about the how and what of tile selection, he took me to the tile store. The same with picking out a vanity style. I thought he went above and beyond and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that I had a bathroom that looked great when completed. When my project was completed I recommended Gene to a family member that is finishing their basement and a co-worker who needed some work done. Kristine, Oakdale

Gene contacted me and came out to estimate the job at my convience, ordered the new counter tops and installed them on the day they were delievered. All work was completed to my satisfaction.

Gene Olsen Construction provided an excellant final product. He was very competative on price and did not make up subcomponets (eg. Gas Fireplace). They accommodated change orders and provided design ideas to add value and improve the overall project. The projected did take longer than scheduled, but most of the delay was involved in recieving Doors and Windows (not in control by Gene Olsen).

They did a great job and I would recommend them.

I was not completely satisfied. He didn't finish the job when he said he would. I didn't select the bathroom tile or bathroom he did and had said that I could. I was rushed and and their is some tile missing off my bathroom floor that was just left. I am glad that the job is done and I am able to use the shower but, I would get everything detail written in a contract next time.
