I was told the cost for installing a gate lock would be $70. after he replaced the lock the price went up $80, I had to buy the lock.I thought it was I ok. I closed the gate later and you can only open it from the front, so you can only open the gate to go into the back yard, you are locked in no way out, I called Mike the response was sorry.I so I am out $80 plus the cost of the lock, now I have to find someone to fix his mistakes. ****UPDATE 11/12/19 - VERIFIED THAT SERVICE PROVIDER DID REFUND $20.00 TO HOMEOWNER****

"There are always two sides to every story and unfortunately Joan is not telling the whole truth. We gave her an estimate of $75 plus $5 for hardware for the gate. I repaired a gate hinge installed the lock on the gate and repaired her front storm door. I installed the lock that Joan supplied. We offered to return and install a new lock for a fee of $20 she told me she would not pay and wanted a refund of the whole $80 we felt that was unfair and offered to refund $20 which we did. General Building & Management pride ourselves in providing professional and courteous services. Whoever may be reading this please take the time to view our reviews"

Since this was the first time I used Home Advisors, I wasn't sure what to expect, however was beyond pleasantly surprised with this father and son team. They immediately responded to my call and were ever so courteous - a rare find in today's world. They came to my house so quickly and did an excellent job. They did an excellent remodel of our bathroom, taking it from an old 1950s style to a contemporary space. They took the room down to the studs, reconfigured the plumbing and layout, installed new electrical, and added a glass shower enclosure that made the room functional and visually larger. They were polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the fixture and tile selections. While they were here, we asked them to install a water shut-off valve where we could reach it easily and outside shower plumbing too. We will use them again for other projects.
