I had a really disappointing experience with Guss. My kitchen went well past the original completion date and was ultimately never finished. I initially paid a 50% deposit and later made a second payment. Even though more than 50% of the job had been paid, he refused to come back and continue the work unless I made another payment. I was still missing cabinet bases and only received some of the cabinet doors, which were never installed. The workmanship and finish on the doors I did receive were very poor quality. There were also multiple issues with measurements and cabinets having to be adjusted or redone. He also would not start working in my house until 7 PM or later. Overall, I?m extremely unhappy with the quality of the work and the fact that my kitchen was left incomplete. I would not recommend Guss. Photos added to show poor workmanship and kitchen reference to how he left it.

review update 9/18/26 Original METAL DOOR was supposed to be cleaned sanded and resealed and painted. The door used was wood not metal due to my original was damaged. Window in door was to be frosted glass, NOT! Door lock was supposed to be Schlage deadbolt with inside & outside key,NOT -cheap lock used. DOOR SEALS LEAK, bathroom flooded after first rain. Told Guss about issues and the possibility I was going to write a bad review if not fixed immediately. Guss called me and told me to remove his number and email and texts. But someone from company would call to take care of these issues. Now need to replace entire door and frame since this is not to CODE! Pictures show openings in seal in 3 places where water and bugs can go through._______________ Did excellent work as discussed. Good price for the amount of work done. Completed on time and returned for additional work to be looked at. Will definitely use again and in the future. Update as of 09/13/2026 IN PROJECTS ABOVE THERE IS NO ?DOIR?PROJECTS! Had door in rear of house replaced, nice dior but still same issue I had prior with water coming in around the door. Seals do not seal fully. Told Gus this and was supposed to return. Gus advised he will return in a few days. We had a thunderstorm and I noticed water all around the inside of the door. In the pictures you can see light coming in , so water would not have an issue coming in. Wrote him and told him I am upset and he needs to return ASAP and that I would post this. GUS called me and told me to remove his number and not contact him again and I should have a nice day. Almost $2000 to do this work and still have water leaks! Look closely at photos and you can see light coming through. All I want is the seals replaced with something better but I CAN?T call him or text because he told me GOODBYE AND HAVE A NUCE DAY. September 18, 2026!! UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW Guss replaced our bathroom door to the outside. Found out this date when reputable door replacement company came to measure that Guss did not frame the wall to install new door frame. Should have 2X4s installed for support, NO 2X4s anywhere. Also the door used is not a metal door as discussed previously with Guss! Costing me a lot of money to remove this junk and replace up to code. DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING GUSS?s charismatic demeanor says. Get everything in writing prior to start and get a final bill.

Guss is the BEST! He knows what he's doing. Excellent work, always arrived on time and no mess. He cares about his work as if it was his own house! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

He has not completed the job yet but he is working at a reasonable speed especially since he had to undo many mistakes the previous worker made. What I have seen so far looks very professional. It is clear that Gus takes pride in his work. I appreciate that he arrives on time and cleans up when he is through for the day. I am looking forward to seeing the final product.
