Anthony and his guys did an absolutely fantastic job on our living room and front entryway. No skimping on prep work, sanded all the walls, ceiling and trim and fixed some dents and cracks. Primed and painted all the trim, ceiling, walls, doors, windows, fireplace and a closet. Looks amazing. Stayed in communication with me throughout. Great guys, very accommodating to our needs as well. PS: this site made me choose refinish cabinets as the work being done. That’s not what they did, as outlined above.

Absolutely first rate!! We hired Anthony in October of 2022 to paint the first two floors of our house. This was a challenging job. The ceilings are 11 ft high and there is a significant amount of architectural detail and trim. Everything from the ceilings to the baseboards required sanding, priming and multiple coats of paint particularly in those rooms that previously had very dark paint. Anthony reviewed all of the rooms during our initial visit. He took care to describe the kind of care each room would need. Different kinds of primers were used depending upon the kind of surface and previous paint job to ensure the best outcomes. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. We were particularly impressed with the level of care and attention Anthony paid to the woodwork. As is expected with a 150-year old house, not every prior painting job had been done to professional standards. We had peeling paint, chipped paint and paint with heavy brush marks. Anthony and his team made the woodwork shine! Two-thirds of the way through the job, my spouse and I were so pleased with the quality of the work that we asked Anthony to paint additional rooms in the basement. The results were terrific and we have no regrets about increasing the paint budget. Anthony provided a comprehensive quote prior to starting the job. When I made a couple of change requests mid-painting, Anthony was upfront and reasonable about the costs. Thank goodness!! I absolutely hated the colors I chose for the downstairs bathroom and asked for the entire room to be repainted in radically different colors. Anthony was too polite to laugh or roll his eyes. He just said, "Sure, we can do that!" Anthony also did a BEAUTIFUL job adding delicate gold touches to a fireplace I asked him to paint. We are thrilled with that too and everyone comments on how beautiful it is when they visit. Most importantly, Anthony has a really nice crew and he is on site to supervise them. Given that we live with our children, I worked from home initially until I was comfortable with the crew. Very quickly, I felt comfortable enough to go back to the office. I had no hesitation about any of Anthony's crew working in the house while we were at work and in fact quite came to enjoy seeing them when I returned at the end of the day. Anthony had the crew at our house six days a week for well over a month. They worked hard to ensure we would have the house back for the holidays. I would recommend General Painting and Anthony in particular without hesitation. We will be hiring Anthony again!!!

I was so happy that I contacted General Painting.! Anthony and his crew renovated my kitchen with new custom-made cabinets and a fresh paint job. The work is exceptional and Anthony has a great eye for detail, but I was most impressed by his kind demeanor and attention to his customers. Anthony and his team are fantastic!!! Far exceeded my expectations! They re fabricated 2 cabinet doors and were able to match the cherry finish in my kitchen. We hired Anthony and his crew to refinish our kitchen cabinets and to paint the interior of our recently purchased home. The cabinets were previously painted with the wrong paint and therefore, were tacky to the touch and badly pealing. Anthony's crew worked tirelessly to strip the paint, sand and stain the cabinets with a custom stain that Anthony created for us. We cannot believe how beautiful our kitchen looks now. The crew also did an awesome job painting the entire interior of our home. We cannot say enough nice things about how wonderful Anthony and his crew are. Everyone was so polite and respectful. They were a joy to be around. You really could tell how passionate they were about the work they do. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

I contacted Home Advisor in hopes of finding someone who could restore my Kitchen Cabinets. Over the years they had yellowed badly and not even one door matched any more. Anthony was quick to respond back to me and upon meeting with him he provided me with a quote. Anthony took the time with me to explain what the process was in refinishing the cabinets and also left me swatches of colors to pick out. Anthony and his crew were very professional, courteous, detail orientated and the service and quality of his work was great! It was a pleasure when they came to work on my kitchen cabinets. Anthony and his crew did an awesome job restoring my cabinets. The paint job looks fantastic. My Kitchen looks brand new now and I am extremely happy! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Anthony and his crew did a fantastic job. There work is top notch and have never seen a better painting job. They work neat and cleanly respecting the property as if it was their own. Anthony gave many suggestions on the remodel project that I used. He suggested I use a color specialist which helped a great deal. I have recommended Anthony to all my family and friends. I hired Anthony to paint several rooms, as well as the cabinets in our kitchen and bathrooms. He was extremely quick to return my calls or emails, and ended up finishing the job ahead of schedule (when does that ever happen?), allowing us to enjoy our updated kitchen for the Thanksgiving holiday. I did quite a bit of research and obtained many quotes for the cabinet work and feel extremely confident that Anthony did the absolute best job, and charged a reasonable price. In addition, both Anthony and his crew were friendly and courteous-- they referred to all of us (including my infant daughter) by name and greeted us each day (a rarity in my experience). If you need painting or cabinet refinishing, look no further!

I live out of state from this work sight. Anthony at General Painting was quick to return calls, update me on work being done and explaining the process. He also added his expertise with colors I could choose from and gave me great estetic advise.

My review wouldn't post if I didn't do all the reviews so I must qualify this by saying we didn't actually get the work done. However the quality of the estimate and professionalism shown was 5*. I know the quote we received was very fair. I had a 2nd estimate done that was similar but Anthony was more detailed and showed more knowledge of professional painting. We were planning on having a house painted that we were preparing to put up for sale. Anthony meet me within 2 days of my contacting Home Advisor and gave me an itemized estimate. Anthony had good suggestions about colors, wood work, stain etc. I was looking forward to working with him but we had a potential buyer who preferred to buy the house without having it painted. Anthony was polite and courteous when I explained this to him. Even though he had saved time in his schedule for me he understood my situation. When I need a painting job in the future I will definitely call him. I think our buyers will wish they had.

Anthony painted my 1990's style oak cabinets and they look beautiful. My kitchen is completely updated without spending a fortune on a remodel. Anthony and his crew are very professional and detail oriented. I highly recommend this company.

We had the kitchen cabinets refinished. Anthony contacted us after we searched on Home Advisor and came out promptly to give us an estimate. He thoroughly explained the process and showed us samples of what we could expect the end product to look like. This helped in our decision to go with paint rather than stain. The work took pretty much as long as he estimated. The end cost was much less than a complete kitchen remodel. Both Anthony and the men he has working with him were very professional, courteous and meticulous in their work. The cabinets look beautiful and the kitchen now has the much needed updated look. Have already recommended Anthony to several others.
