In 1980 Founder/ CEO, Lee Ray Romero, Jr. of Genesis Design Mechanical worked as a plumbers helper in Albuquerque New Mexico for his dad's company- "LEE'S PLUMBING COMPANY" Today Lee, Jr and his son, Jonathan Romero operate Genesis Design Mechanical (GDM) in Albuquerque, NM. A new beginning in 2018 when Lee Jr got his MM01, MM02 and MS03 with Lee, Jr, Jonathan and Lee, Sr. Our mission is to build a well established customer base with the goal of excellent customer service in mind. With over 20 years of combined experience, the customer is our first priority. "A customer is a customer and they are more than customers to me." says Lee, Jr. "They are consumers like me that have "real" vibes when it comes to customer service, performance and value." I also look for the same when I need service for my automobile, my home, my family or my business." I am a customer too." I expect the same treatment or better for my customers." Nothing LESS! Commercial Water Heater Installation or Replacement
Now I understand why the BBB reviews on them are so bad. They replaced a heater they installed 3 years ago that failed with another one with a damaged control valve and blamed the damage on me, and won't take responsibility to honor their warranty. I will now need to find another plumber to fix it. Not sure if I want to do that through Home Advisor now.

Water Heater Installation and Replacement
Water heater failed after 3 years. The cost to replace was 80% of the original cost to install but it was my best option as other contractors were quoting me much higher prices. While trying to adjust the temperature they initially set, I discovered the temperature dial was floating above the control panel and not grabbing on to anything unless I pushed it in and turned it. I also noticed upon closer inspection, the lettering on the knob was rubbed off. I accidently shut off the pilot and tried to relight it and noticed the control panel getting hot. Called them as an emergency, called fire dept too. I shut off the gas to the water heater because I was afraid of a fire or explosion. Also called fire dept. Owner accused me or a plumber I called vandalized it. This whole experience has unbelievable.

Water Heater Installation and Replacement
On October 10, 2024 My wife and I hired Genesis Design Mechanical to install a new water heater at one of our properties here in Albuquerque. I got his quote and it was not cheap. However, the company I hired, Genesis Design Mechanical, they are a first class high quality service plumber. The water heater inspection passed, no problems. We have had other plumbers on other properties my wife and I own and they fail inspection, their services were not like Genesis. I was so happy after they completed the job. We now use Genesis for all our plumbing needs because they do a very good and quality job. And their customer service is superior. Genesis Design Mechanical is very dependable and prompt. I highly recommended Genesis Design Mechanical for all your plumbing needs. They are very good.

We hired Genesis to look at our furnace. He Charged us $280 for a service call and said it is gonna be our thermostat and another part so I trusted him and paid the $280. They stayed at the house for 10 minutes and said we needed a new furnace and it was gonna be $5600. We got another quote and they found that it was just our burner, simple fix. We asked for a refund he said that he charges $280 for service calls they lied to us and he refuses to refund us. This company is as bad as it get dont trust them.

Father and son team squeezed me into their schedule so we wouldn't have to go without hot water all for a great price. ( December promo).They were friendly and knowledgeable and explained how to operate the water heater if it ever went out. They were done in two hours and cleaned up after themselves. They also gave us a multi tool as a thank you for our business. Would hire againbif needed.

Our old water heater died during the night. Contacted Lee the next morning about getting a new unit installed as soon as possible. By that afternoon Lee had his guys out to the house to install a new unit. Lee gave a great price for great work a nice Rheem water heater and an unmatched warranty. Couldn't be more pleased.
