This is a real electrical business, not the fellow down the street who does it after his real job, therefore the cost (to me, but I am pretty tight by necessity) seemed a bit high at the time. I no longer recall what I paid, but it was worth not worrying about my son in law up on a ladder in this dangerous spot. That s why I got a licensed insured company to do it. They know their stuff & know how to avoid dying while doing it. I got an estimate for several jobs, but only ended up having one of them done, nearly a year later. I had a chandelier removed and replaced over a double stair well hanging from a raised roof in my foyer, so it was an awkward dangerous area to work. They did a great job, placed the new chandelier in a place I could access it to clean it per my request, (gave me the idea how to do that with my estimate), and I didn t need to call the paramedics! Great jobs & no worries are sometimes worth paying the price for them.
