I originally filled out a contact form on Daikin's website about possibly replacing the mini-split in my shop. A couple of weeks went by, and I had already decided to try cleaning it before replacing it. Ironically, the same day my cleaning supplies arrived, I received a call from Jeff Lucas with Genie Express Air Conditioning after Daikin forwarded him my inquiry. After explaining my plan for the mini-split, I asked Jeff if he'd be willing to give my home's 3-ton and 5-ton HVAC systems a routine checkup. Less than two hours later, he was at my house. I was concerned one unit had a refrigerant leak, but Jeff quickly determined there wasn't one. Instead, he found the condenser coils were extremely dirty, causing abnormally high pressures, and both capacitors were out of tolerance. As an IT/electrical guy, I appreciated that he took the time to explain everything instead of trying to sell me unnecessary repairs. What really impressed me was what happened next.
