He laid new flooring on a rotten sub-floor. No attention to detail at all. The new and old floor does not match up, they are of different height. He left the debris from the floor in my crawl space and did not tell me until it was too late to do anything about it. When he reinstalled the toilet,he did not adjust the overflow valve correctly, causing problems with my septic.

UPDATE: 4/9/20 Our tenant called us to let us know the ceiling opened up and water is everywhere. George failed to repair of leaking shower and we are back to square one. He is a huge waste of our hard earn money. Original Review: Oct - 2019. We own a rental property in Forest Hills NY. We hired George to repair our kitchen ceiling from water damage due to a leaky shower and to re-grout the leaky shower. George came out and inspected the job and gave us a great quote... George did an OK job with the sheet rock and ceiling repair, which included removing and reinstalling upper kitchen cabinets, however he did not PAINT his finished work and claims I told him not to. When it clearly shows he would paint in the proposal. For the leaky shower George choose to run a bead of outdoor silicone around the edge of our shower floor (on the phone he told me it was special caulk and did not re-grout any of the missing grout. When he clearly stated in his proposal he would. We live in NJ and were not able to inspect his work until a few weeks after it was done. George clearly took advantage us and the fact that we were not there, the homeowners, and cut corners where ever he could. Our tenant also mentioned the shower door magnetic was broke. George order the wrong size and billed me anyway for a very unprofessional installation that our tenant had to redo herself easily by ordering the correct size. Our tenant is an 20 year student, and she did a much more professional job than George did installing the magnetic strip. Our tenant also asked George while he was there about a few other fixes which he performed with out our authorization, and billed us for. We paid George for all his work. We were not pleased with the finished job. He cut corners and insulted us. He claims we tried to play games with his payment, because he couldn't figure out how to receive Zelle bank payment. We also attempted to send him a check that he agreed to receive and expected me to over night it to him. We also attempted to perform a wire transfer but there were wire transfer fees. George is not a professional so i would not expect anything more. I would not recommend George based on our experience.

I have hired other people for projects and he is by far the best person He was very knowledgeable, and very reasonable. He was also very personable. I would highly recommend him to friends and family,

Contractor brought teenagers to do the work and not professional adults to do the work. I would not recommend contractor to anyone.

George is wonderful! He arrived on time, discussed what I needed done and got to work. He's easy to talk to and very personable. I've added him to my list of "favorites" on Home Advisor!.

He refinished my steps as promised. Steps were sanded and finished beautifully. He cleaned up after himself and didnt leave a mess. Kind and courteous, would definitely use him again.

They are easy to work with, friendly and does great work.

George charges very good prices for labor. He took me to a store that had a wide selection of wall paper. George lined up my apartment door since it was tilted and was hard to open and close. He came up with the genius idea of putting aluminum angle on top of my two radiators so I can adjust the temperature. He always cleaned up every time. He did some painting as well. He did an excellent job in my apartment.

I had a variety of jobs that needed attention. George handled each one in a most professional way and the end result was a job well done. George is now my go-to man for any future work I need done in my home. "Let George do it" is my new motto!

George was hired to replace an old front door wooden saddle. He was quite knowledgeable, personable & punctual plus the task was performed with professional craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend him for similar carpentry jobs; moreover I’ve asked him to return to perform additional handyman services for which I’ll provide feedback upon completion.

Although he's a nice person, he left a mess. My husband and I spent 2 days cleaning up paint on the floor and patching spots on the wall that were missed.
