I reached out to Georgia Flooring and Remodeling, along with a few other flooring contractors, to get estimates for finishing a tile job that my husband had started. I should start by saying that Mr. Perdue seems like a good person and was willing to work with us on getting our flooring job completed. Things started out pretty well, as Travis responded quickly to my inquiry about having the tile work done, and he had his son come out within a couple of days to take measurements and give us an estimate. Once we agreed on a price, work started within the next couple of days. I got a bit nervous on the first day because the work was started later than agreed upon, and the 3 guys (2 of Mr. Perdues sons and a friend) that came to do the work were all pretty young. The job started off fine, and the three of them made some pretty good progress the first day and a half of the job. After this things started to take a turn; the last half of the job was rushed and subpar. There was an area in our concrete slab that was slightly lower than the rest of the floor, and we were aware of this prior to hiring GA Flooring to do this tile job. We were charged for the materials and labor it would cost to level off the area with a leveling compound, which I assumed would be done prior to the tile being laid. This work was not done and, when looking from one room into the other, there is an obvious discrepancy in the tile where the floor is still unlevel. We were also charged for thresholds to be placed in three doorways; that was also left unfinished. 4 tiles in our living room had to be replaced within two days of being laid because they were already popping up. To his credit, Mr. Perdue did send his son back out to replace the tiles. He was supposed to come back the next day to redo the grout for those tiles, but never showed up or called. We did not hear anything from anyone for two weeks, so I finally reached out to Travis. I understand things happen, and when I reached out, Travis was very apologetic and promised to get his son out the next day to finally finish the grout. So I was willing to overlook this; I was just ready to get the work done so that we could get the floors sealed properly. Well, unfortunately, 5 days later, the work had still not been done, and we also hand not heard anything from anyone. I finally reached AGAIN to let Travis know that my husband would be finishing the job. He was extremely apologetic, but by this point, my husband and I were both disappointed. Now, less than 2 months after having the tile work *done*, there are 2 additional loose tiles and chipped grout near our fireplace This was definitely a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this company.
