Avoid this guy at all cost. Untruthful. He will take your money and use it somewhere else and never complete your project.

They said one thing and would do another, their timeliness was very poor. When they can out the work was ok but when it came time for finally payment they were reluctant to repair anything finish work. The owner used his veteran status to try and gain trust and we found that kind of misleading.

Interesting that you state that the work was okay, but yet wanted us to come back to do more work and repair the light gasket at no charge and then acted like we did something wrong when we said we would have to charge you all. Unfortunately, we cannot do any work for no charge. No one can and stay in business. Bruce takes great pride in being a veteran and serving this country. If that was misleading, then you all misconstrued anything that he said. He tells very few people that he served this country and had his leg partially blown off. If anything, he told you all he was a veteran and then provided YOU with a discount."

I had another estimate done before this company and the other company charged me about $1,000 more than this company for less work. They came out and surveyed what I wanted done and provided me a quote. He asked if I were a Veteran and I said yes and he knocked $100 off the price. There was a delay in scheduling, but that was more my fault because I had 2 projects going on at the same time. They did a GREAT job on my walk path. I was very impressed. Prior to installation they did provide me photos of their previous work, so that I could get an idea of how it would look.

Think twice before dealing with this company. Especially if you have a small job because they'll put you at the bottom of the list and go to people that have big jobs.

Understand delays associated with weather, however this was to the far extreme with promises not kept. Including that they didn't give me my down payment back.

"Mr. Rugg - we have never said we weren't giving you your down payment back. You insisted on receiving communication more than once a week and when we didn't do what you wanted you threatened to call your lawyer. When we concluded we wouldn't be able to complete your job as quickly as you wanted, despite what our contract states, that you signed and agreed to, we said we'd give you your money back. And since you haven't gotten your way you want to leave bad reviews for us. I can promise you, you will get your money back. Your review is based solely on your feelings, not based on work that we completed for you, since we decided not to do any, thankfully."

Signed contract on 10th of May promised work would be done in 3 weeks. 7 weeks later and broken promise after broken promise, work still not completed. Final promise last week was that they would have work completed by 4th of July weekend. I just had to cancel all my plans because the work isn't completed. They waited to the last minute to finally start work, they came in and busted up existing patio, left all debris and guess what, rain. This company had 7 weeks, 5 of which the weather was perfect to finish my job. The customer service is terrible, the owners didn't care at all about my job. I will never use them again, and I wouldn't refer them to anyone. First time using Home Advisor and Georgia-Lina pools has ruined that experience.

"Thank you for your review. We'd like to contribute that the concrete that was busted up was removed from your property and we added chemicals to your newly purchased above ground pool. This also included hooking up your pump system for said pool, which had been placed in the area that the concrete was to be installed. We were not contracted to do anything with a pool but completed this for you anyway. All of this was done at NO COST to you because you were given a FULL refund on June 30th per your request."

I have dealt with 5 different pool vendors in my area from pool construction to liner replacement over the last 20 years. I have never received the quality or customer service that I got from Georgia-Lina Pools and Landscaping. Bruce and Heather Alford are the example of professionalism and customer service. They provided status updates to me frequently and were on site when they said they would be.They're work crew was polite and paid great attention to detail.They made a task I was dreading painless. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a service that they provide. They are a rare find in this day and time.
