Acewash

The agreement was for him to paint my house and if weather permits it would be done in 2 weeks, we started 05/11/21. We made an agreement that I would pay half when he was halfway done with the job and the other half upon completion of the job. I only wanted the siding painted because the trim looked good. He started off with a power wash and I had to stop him because he was removing all of the paint off of the trim. I told him I was unhappy and he said he would re-paint the trim because he wanted me to be happy. I was gone on appts all day and he called and told me it was hot, and I needed to pay him today so he could pay his paint bill and asked when I would be back. I told him 7pm and that he was not half way done with the job which made him even madder and he said what so I am supposed to sit in my truck all day and wait for you and I stated that I had appointment that were made ahead of time and there was no plan for us to meet today. He was very mad, when I did arrive home he was waiting and had packed up all of his tools and the paint I paid for into his truck, these had all been sitting there for 2 weeks, and I told him I would pay him half because I was keeping my agreement even thought he was not half way done and asked him if he was coming back and he stated of course I am coming back. He said he had another job he had to finish and so I gave him 2 weeks and then I called him and he said he got a piece of metal in his eye and he had not forgotten about me but he still had not finished the other job and he would get his friend to come help him with my job so I gave him another 2 weeks. Now he is not answering my calls or returning my messages. I just want him to finish the job, I will pay the other half and we can go our separate ways.

He was very friendly, prompt, courteous, and professional.
