In 2018, I hired Kevin and his company to construct an addition?a sunroom with an attached deck accessible from the top floor of the main bedroom. I accepted their quoted price based on the explicit understanding that it included all necessary materials, particularly the windows, which are a crucial aspect of the project. To my dismay, I was hit with an unexpected additional charge of $6,400 that Kevin neglected to mention in the original quote. This not only blew my budget out of the water but also raised serious questions about their calculation practices. Furthermore, the ceiling of the addition has leaked since day one, and this ongoing issue is entirely unacceptable. It is baffling that a construction company could overlook such a vital component in their quote. Had I known about this significant oversight, I would have rejected their bid outright due to budget constraints. In total, his company exceeded my budget by $20,000, which is outrageous.

Another Botched renovation activity from Geer Renovations. Kevin and his subcontractors performed a botched renovation that just keeps on giving due to mistakes, lack of oversight and bad workmanship. Geer Renovations performed a renovation project of my house in Sneads Ferry NC in 2020. During that time Mr. Geer removed a door from my garage to the main house to move in equipment. He lost the hinges and left the door off during the month of May causing the HVAC unit to run. He lost the frame to a bathroom door. He had to rebuild this frame and did it incorrectly. The old doors had to be trimmed down due to incorrect shimming. He took short cuts with mounting of electrical boxes for lighting in my master bath. He or his subcontractor simply cut holes in the drywall and stuck in the boxes. These were not securely mounted. I had to have those fixed. At the end of this project, he left my house filthy. Had to hire a cleaning person to clean it up. Cost ~ $300.00. These are not the only issues I have had to repair. I had ~ $35000.00 damage due to a water leak that from a faucet fitting that was overtightened in 2021. This also resulted in loss of use of my property for three months. Another issue was during the during the demolition of my property Mr. Kevin Geer and/or his subcontractors did not cover any of the toilet flanges. Various materials were allowed to enter my sewer lines causing problems. He spent money cleaning these lines out, but this intrusion of materials left a piece of ceramic tile stuck in my mainline. This caused my sewer to back up. The removal and restoration of this cost me another ~$ 2500.00, not to mention loss of time enjoying my vacation. I had Mr. Kevin Geers company put in an island ventilation fan over my stove during the 2020 renovation. Last December 2022 had some bad noise and vibration shut fan down. In April 2023 had a service company come and look at this fan. Found parts of the main flapper down in the fan area. Due to faulty installation the sides are coming apart also. Replacement cost for this is ~ $2500.00. Please be ware of this company. He will show you an insurance policy for liability. Check this out before hiring him. I have documentation and receipts to back these claims up.

Outstanding job building our deck. Attention to detail and craftsmanship was top notch. Took care of everything, materials, permits, and installing a beautiful deck. Would definitely recommend them to anyone building a deck.

Great experience working with Kevin and his crew. They replaced 20 windows on my house when I was getting ready to sell and they did a phenomenal job! They got it done quickly and for an excellent price too. It only took about 3 weeks from our first meeting to get everything measured, ordered, made, and delivered. And they knocked out the installation in ONE day! I was very impressed with how soon Kevin got things done, especially considering all the other quotes I received were going to be 8-10 weeks out before they could even start, and anywhere from 2 to 4 days for installation. I recieved several quotes from the big box stores and other window companies (Lowe's, Home Depot, Window World, Pella) and he came in $3000-$4000 less. But still with the same (or comparable) high quality windows (with lifetime warranty too) as the others. Can't beat that! I also received quotes from other small local companies like Kevin's and a few of them wanted to cut corners, literally. They wanted to cut the vinyl siding to remove the old windows and install the new ones, then cover it up with exterior PVC trim. That would have cost me more money to purchase the extra materials while making their job easier. That's shady business in my opinion. But Kevin was very patient and thorough in explaining the whole process and they took the time to carefully remove the siding and reinstall it so they could do the job correctly. That's a big deal in my book! I was very impressed with Geer Renovations and I'll be calling them first when I'm ready for my next project.

My husband and I would highly recommend Geer Renovations for any job!! We hired them to redo our very large pergola that had rotted and needed replacing. My only regret was not taking a time lapse video to show how strategic and methodical they worked. It was obvious that everyone working on the job were craftsmen. Thanks again Kevin & Ryan!!

Professional, courteous, personable and focus on higher standards and exceeding building codes versus merely meeting building codes. They do not try to take a customers money for added projects...they really discuss your needs, make recommendations that make sense and price the work accordingly. Quality over quantity. They are a very versatile contractor with experience in a vast array of areas of renovation. I ve hired Kevin (Geer Renovations) for several additional projects since my first project. I highly recommend them to others and have also recommended them to my neighbors.

Unlike several other potential contractors I contacted or attempted to contact regarding our project Kevin was quick to answer my inquiry. He thoroughly explained the work that he felt the project required and the costs involved. The work was completed quickly. He and his guys were respectful of our property and time. I'm generally a DIY guy but removing a load-bearing wall was beyond my expertise. We couldn't be more pleased with the work.

We have had the pleasure to utilize Geer Renovations for our Hurricane Florence repairs and additional home improvement projects for the last 9-10 months. From post storm services, I nstalling new gorgeous tongue and groove ceilings throughout our downstairs, rebuilding our fireplace and adding beautiful tile, new mahogany front door, repair/replace with tongue and groove/beams in our screened porch, repair of our garage doors and a new front porch! Their work is high quality with excellent communication about timelines. We will always call Geer Renovations for all our home repairs/remodeling!

Geer Renovations were great with communication and the work provided - which is super rare around here with contractors. They did a wonderful job for me after the hurricane, having to redo my entire kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and a den. Not to mention, they are cool guys to have a beer with after a stressful day!

Kevin and company came in to assist us with hurricane damage repair. We cannot say enough good things about this group. They were wonderful, from being there quickly to do the tear out to assisting us with the insurance company to doing beautiful, quality work. They did repairs and replacements to our kitchen, living room, patio, bedroom and bathroom as well as the areas in between. Their work is fantastic, they and their subcontractors are good, honest people, and our house looks better now than before the storm. Even our insurance inspector remarked on their beautiful and well-done work at the final inspection. Highly recommend!!

Kevin and Ryan were very professional came to my home on time and finished rebuilding my deck a day earlier and did a fantastic job lwould high recommend them to anyone l have more projects in my home that I m going to have them do! Excellent outfit!!

Efficient, prompt team workmanship. We’re helpful in outlining scope of work and had no trouble adjusting to our wishes for minor changes. The finished product and cleanup were all we had come to expect and Mr Geer returned several days later to check on any concerns we had. Needless to say, we are quite pleased.
