He was punctual, professional, and did a great job. His assistant was the same. I would hire him again. Paul completed the job in a timely manner and completely cleaned up afterwards. He communicated via phone and text which was great, so you always knew his status.

Liked to do everything via text messages. His invoice also was just free hand written and sent by email. Not too good for tax purposes but his work was very good according to my tenant.

I needed to remove and replace two tiles on my mantle. Paul gave me good advice as to a place I was likely to find a match (Art Tile in Oakland). He did a fabulous job in removing the old tiles and putting in the new ones. Professional, courteous and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

Paul Gilbert was professional and imoecably meticulous; the final product is a sight to behold. He offered a lot if useful suggestions including good tile sources and even went out of his way to pick up samples and hand delivered them to my house. I believe that you get what you pay for and while one quote from service magic was actually lower than Paul's, the decision to hire him wad based on the care he took when he came to complete the estimate, his thoroughness and high quality throughout. We highly, highly recommend him.

Paul Gilbert came out and gave a very helpful estimate. After I decided to go with him, he started and finished the job on time and on budget. He did a beautiful job with my penny-round mosaic backsplash in my kitchen. My wife and I absolutely love it, and Paul was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for tile work, no matter how custom. The price was right too! Paul rocks!

Experience was okay. Workers arrived late on both days. On the second day, that was a real problem for me as I had an appointment I couldn't be late for and had explained that to Paul Gilbert the day before. As a result, I had to rush out of the house, and had no time to discuss the job that was done, what I should do to keep the tile/grout looking good, etc. The guys worked hard at cleaning the tile on day 1. And the regrouting of the tile makes the shower stall look a lot better than it did. I am happy about that.
