We had water in our crawl space and asked Chris from Gilliam to come over and give us a proposal on how to fix the issue. He charged me $250 to come out and take a look and said that he would apply the $250 towards the total bill if we accept his quote. I paid him the $250 to come out. Got a phone call from him that basically said "you have a problem with water in your crawl space! There was water in the crawl space!!!" which hello we already knew and hence the reason why we were paying him to come out! I asked for his recommendation on how to fix the issue and he said he needed a day or two to write up his recommendation and give us his quote. Mid you, he was really rude! His tone changed right after he cashed the check! That was in February, it's end of March now, we still don't have his recommendation! I had contacted him a little while ago to inquire and got a rude response and when I said I didn't want his quote anymore and relayed my disappointment, he said he'd refund the $250! That was March 7th and today's March 31, 2017 and still no check! This business is a TOTAL RIP OFF! Not to mention rude. I feel very cheated! It's not just about the $250 I paid for a quote I never received but about moral principle! This business has none!!!

Fantastic job...

They did work for us approx 4 years ago. Gilliam Construction came in and did a total renovation on our landscaping. They woud have stayed on their estimate if we wouldn't have kept adding things to do. We are very pleased and will stay in contact for further jobs.

All estimates of time and costs were very accurate and costs seemed very reasonable. The contractor Chris Gilliam removed old and installed new insulation and removed old siding and installed new and installed an underground drainage pipe connected to roof drains and replaced front door frame and door during trying conditions of cold and wet weather. Everything looks and works great. Am a happy customer and will use Gilliam Construction again on future repairs or remodeling of my house.

Chris and his crew seems work very well together.He did finish the job within the estimated time frame.He did fix the drainage problem before pouring the new cement in our driveway.He is accesible everytime you try to reach him.

Easy to work with. Even though our project was small they were attentive, timely, and on estimate.

Chris was comprehensive, but kept the explanations simple, descripting all the options possible. The job needed an extra day, which cut into their profits, but they worked diligently to be thorough. To clean difficult areas, the pressure washer did some feathering of wood, they had some frustration. The crew was understanding of family illness in the house, and did their best to mitigate noise and disruption. For example, not having a loud radio, as I observed a neighbor's construction crew having. They were clean and neatly dressed, that helped my wife feel more comfortable having them around our home.

We were very happy with Chris Gilliam's design and work. We also were happy with the different crews that he brought in. The site was kept as clean as possible. His crews were repectfull and helpfull. We will gladly refer our friends and family.

They were very professional and gave me a great quote on this project. Chris and the asphalt team did a great job on my driveway.

Excellent contractor

Gilliam addressed the drainage issues of the property within my budgetary constraints. The trenching and installation of piping was made with minimal impact to the landscaping. Gilliam is detailed oriented and customer service oriented.

Chris responded to my e-mailed request within the hour. His estimate was reasonable and affordable. He provided snow-clearance an hour later, and was done promptly. The work was well-thought-out and up to my expectations. He listened to my church's need, made suggestions when he thought they would help, and finished the job as promised. A church service was able to begin within a half-hour of the job completion, and the congregants were not jeopardized by thick ice and remaining snow. Because of Chris and Gilliam Construction, I am one building manager who is considered something of a miracle worker!

Was timely and did a great job!

Chris had great suggestions about how to proceed, is a really nice guy, and did lots of different stuff for us--from building wooden structures to designing the landscaping to clearing land out and putting it in. He was able to start and finish the work really quickly too.

This company did an exellent job. It was done on time, and they were extremely nice and professional. I was impressed with Chris's commitment to quality and detail. I highly recommend this company. We couldn't be happier!
