He did an awesome job on some things but I gave him a Pro card to use to purchase items for my house but after seeing itemized bills he used my card on other projects. Unfortunately, my house and town burnt down and I have no proof.

"This Lady is delusional. She had ripped open an approx. 1978 double-wide in a mobile home park and then contacted Gilmore Construction in 2015 to install a new subfloor. We did the work we had been contracted to do, and then she said that she would not be doing the other work needed at that time. She paid the last invoice, and I never saw or heard from her again. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may have hired other people after us and may have us confused with someone else. As all the other reviews attest, we are honest, dependable, and complete our work on time, and on budget. I no longer subscribe to Homeadvisor, because of this review, and their follow-thru. They did no research to see when this work is done, or if the statements made by this lady were true or not. For someone to come back some 5-6 years after the fact, and make these unsubstantiated claims, is both slanderous and preposterous. Home Advisor should be ashamed of their incompetence in following thru, and seeing if these claims were true or not. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the record we have built up over the years should be considered when reading this bogus review. John was the first Pro to contact me the same day I put in my request. He phoned me and set up a time to look at the place I wanted the electrical outlet. After he had assessed the situation, he said he would get back to me with a quote. A few hours later he phoned me with the quote. It was reasonable so I agreed. He emailed me the contract, I signed my agreement of all terms and emailed my signed copy back to him. As it happened, his schedule had an opening the next day at 8:00 am. I had an appointment, but my wife & daughter were there to allow John & employee access. By the time I returned from my appointment, the job was finished. Johns employee showed the work he had done and everything was perfect and just as was written in the contract. The man did an excellent job, the work area was cleaned and all in good order when he left. I do recommend Gilmore Construction and would welcome their help on any project in the future.

John was always on time, did what he said he would do, the area was exceptionally clean each day he left, excellent staff members, and outstanding workmanship. I would highly recommend John to anyone. Oh, and I plan on hiring him again next spring.

We had water damage to floor, cabinet and drywall. We were anxious for help. John responded right away and continued the work in a timely manner. He showed good knowledge in all areas needing repair and remodel. His pricing was based on actual work done. We will hire him again.

John Gilmore is a true jewel. He and his employees first fixed the sagging foundation of our home and then did a complete gutting and remodeling of our master bathroom including the addition of a curbless shower with grab bars and a walk in closet. John was wonderful to work with, has a great work ethic, and was always here when he said he would be. Any concerns or questions my husband or I had about the process were promptly addressed. We are delighted with the finished project and would not hesitate to recommend John or call him again for our future projects.

I have never had a contractor do what they say their going to do and do it with utmost professionalism. All I want is a person of their word and John is. He is a hardworking, honest, meticulous, etc. I could go on and on about what a great person and professional person he is. I am more than willing to give recommendations if anyone would want one. I can sometimes be a hard person to please because I'm really meticulous, so I was pleasantly surprised when he met up to my satisfaction. I don't want to make this so long that no one wants to read it, so I really just want to get across that you can't go wrong with Gilmore Construction. If I ever have something else I need remodeled, this is the only contractor that I would pick. I know I can trust him and he's a man of his word.
