My pivot shower door was not closing properly and the technician said he was only able to fix it the best he could because the bottom pin of the shower door was rusted and could not be replaced or repaired. I had the door repaired although the tech said I would probably need a new shower door eventually and he could not guess as to how long the repair would last. When I asked him the price of a new shower door which in our case is the typical standard size of about 32 inches he said about $700.00 to $800.00 which I thought was very expensive. I later looked on the Home Depot site for new pivot shower doors of that size and the typical door was priced from $188.00 on up with only the fanciest ones costing about $400.00 on up. Currently, the repaired shower door is bowed and does not fit tightly but I believe the tech was honest about the door. Also, Glass Doctor does not offer senior or VA discounts.
