Was quoted $250 appx to replace garage door springs. Representative cam out and wanted to upcharge me to do extra stuff I didn?t ask for or need. When I told him what I was quoted, he said it was only for one spring and the cost would be over $500 if I got both springs replaced. Again, I was quoted appx $250 for the job. When I told him I was previously quoted by another company $400 for the job, and I chose Wallen because they provided me a better quote, he said he had to call his manager. He can back with a quote if $400, spent less than 30 minutes changing the springs and put in smaller springs than one?s he replaced.

Hi Yvette, were sorry you're not satisfied with the services you received. You are correct we informed you the estimated cost for a [one] spring was 250-280, and have used your feedback to educate our customer service representatives on garage door springs and the importance of estimating the cost of TWO springs even when a customer indicates only one is broken. We are sorry the outcome of your service left you feeling surprised and misled on the cost, which is why we discounted the rate to $400. While it may seem cost effective to replace only the broken spring rather than both of them, after examining your door we found it to be a disservice to you and your safety by offering a short term fix to a long term problem. The disproportionate energy of the new spring with the seemingly undamaged spring would have caused extra pressure on one side of the door causing the old spring to break down sooner than expected - leaving you with yet another costly repair. Improperly balanced springs can cause damage to other parts of your garage door, the opener's motor, and even serious injury. Our intent was not to leave you feeling up-charged, but to keep your garage door running smoothly, increase the lifespan of your door, and ultimately save you money on future repairs. Wallen was found on Yelp. They came and gave me an estimate for free. I hired them to do the work. They were quick to complete the job and leave the area clean. Devin was very polite and good at what he does.They even gave me a military discount. This was much appreciated. Julie the office manager was raised in Virginia Beach and was extremely nice.

Originally I had paid for an installation of a garage opener, but my garage did not meet the specifications of the opener. They were able to help provide me the steps and the outside labor resources to remedy these issues and ultimately reach the goal of installation the garage opener.

Highly recommend Wallen Garage Doors.I did an online inquiry on Angi and Wesley Allen called promptly to discuss my needs and was able to come out the next day to fix my garage door. He was polite, knowledgeable, efficient, honest & professional. In the future I will be doing some exterior remodeling & will definitely be calling Wallen Garage Doors! A1+++ service. Thank you!
