Wendell King of Globle contacted me and gave me an estimate for the paint job. He said he needed a $800 deposit to start. When I was writing him a check, he asked that I make it out to his wife, Leslie King. I was alarmed but I went ahead and did it. We then made an appointment for a start date. It was delayed because he was working on another house that was taking longer than expected. After the third start date came and went, I told Wendell that I had lost all confidence in him and I wanted my money back. Wendell said that he would mail it to me and I would get it in a week (This was back at the first of the year.) Well, as I should have expected, I never got my deposit back. When I tried to call Wendell his cell phone was not in service. When I looked up his home phone (Wendell and Leslie King, it was not in service. So based on Service Magic recommendation, I am out $800. Correction: I wrote Leslie King a check for $1200 and not $800, so I am out $1200.
