Buyer beware! Goggin installed a heat pump in my home summer 2016. They promised reliability and efficiency - I got neither. The product they installed was defective, breaking down every other day for 3 months. They were at a loss how to fix it and would not replace it. They finally got it running but now it costs more to run than my old oil furnace! Contract requires mediation to resolve dispute, which costs more than the heat pump condenser is worth. Take my advice and stay away from Goggin energy!
Response by Goggin Energy: The heat pump has worked without issue as far as we know since we replaced defective boards at no cost to this customer (Dec 2017). The delay in figuring out the issue with the unit was related to Mr. Darling setting the temperature in the unit to 62 degrees and not leaving the remote at his rental property. Ron is unhappy that his heating costs have gone up since he found out in a Maine court that Maine law requires a landlord to provide minimum heat of 68 degrees to their tenants. The guys that came to work at my house were great. Friendly and informative. They worked around some medical issues we were having and did a great job. I already recommended them to a friend.
