For over 25 years I have been in the home improvement industry with various companies and mostly for two of America's largest window/door companies. All of these companies have high gross profit margin goals as a result of a whole lot of overhead, sales commissions and beefy advertising campaigns. To justify their pricing they train(ed) their sales teams to sell utilizing fear tactics. The bleak pictures they paint and stories they tell are generally just not a reality.
