Golden Landscapes

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, they are fraudulent. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. In short, we paid $9,000 for a brand new irrigation system in July of 2021 and they installed a 13-year-old used or rebuilt backflow valve without the wye strainer. They are not addressing the issue of using a used 13 yr old leaky warped device instead of a brand new one for which we paid. All they need to do, to rectify this situation, is reimburse us $1,165.90 which is more than a fair request and a way to remedy their misconduct.

I hired Golden Landscapes Irrigation to repair the irrigation system at our Nashville, TN rental property including replacing a cracked backflow preventer, installing a new irrigation timer and rain sensor, and testing the system to ensure it was working correctly. Mr. Williams came to our property on 07-07-2021 to perform this work, for which I paid $1,639.25 (exceeding estimate). The job was never finished and Mr. Williams (business owner) attempted to defraud me by 1) installing an old backflow preventer that he spray painted to look like a new piece of equipment 2) equipment leaked, was not installed per code, was not the brand that my invoice stated was installed 3) charged me $135 for a new rain/freeze sensor that was not installed and 4) he never allowed for sufficient time to finish the job thus requiring multiple visits to our property and multiple *service charges* for each visit. I contacted Mr. Williams and his wife and neither will return my correspondence.

I was completely blown away by the quality of work and service provided by Golden Landscapes. I had work done on my property by another company and they did not let me know they had damaged the irrigation pipes. Golden Landscapes came out, traced the pipes, found and fixed the problem with ease. I was truly blown away by the quality and speed of their work as well as their incredible knowledge base. Thomas is very professional and explains any repairs in detail before beginning them. He takes great pride in his work and is fairly priced. I have used him several times and will continue to do so.

Good work and friendly until I questioned the invoice. I downgraded the company due to not communicating upfront and clearly the total charges for work being done. The owner stated that I was the first ever to question the reasonableness of his ricing and the first to raise the good business practice of establishing the total cost of the project before work has started. I would still recommend the company, with the Caveat that you agree on the pricing before work begins or a product is provided.

This is the company you want! I had a french drain installed by another company and 3 water lines were busted. Found them when Golden Landscapes came out to activate the system. Activation turned into some tough repairs and Thomas tackled all of them right on the spot so my system would be operational. Thanks!

Came right on time and worked in the rain to fix my system. Excellent service.

Golden Landscaping showed up ahead of schedule and winterized my irrigation system in the rain without any complaints. We had a piece of PVC break off when he was removing our back flow. He did not have the right size piece of PVC to fix it, so he ran to Lowe’s quickly to get the correct stuff and took care of it ASAP, keeping us informed through out the whole process. Great customer service! I have no problems recommending Golden Landscaping.
