I cannot say enough good things about Ryan and Golden Spike Roofing. I called Ryan a year after he left a business card on my door. Ryan did not answer, but Spike, the owner, did. This was my first sign that this was a good business. Ryan went above and beyond to work with me and my insurance company of 20 years that only wanted to cover 25% of the cost to replace my roof. He is very knowledgeable about insurance coverage and code requirements. I recommend this company for your roof. Their high rating is for a reason, and it proved accurate for me. I would like to express how happy we are with our entire encounter with Golden Spike Roofing and specifically with their project manager Brandon Boone. Our process began when a door to door â examinerâ from another company noted that our home had what appeared to be some hail and weather damage. I thanked them and then immediately called Golden Spike Roofing after confirming Golden Spike was still on the referral list. Brandon contacted us the very next day. We scheduled an inspection and he confirmed what was previously noted, plus several other places of damage. Now this process started at the beginning of the year 2021, so there had not been any severe hail storms yet. Brandon was able to locate a storm that was shown to have passed over our area from the previous year. I have never put in a hail claim for our house or our previous homes before. Brandon guided me through the process of making the application. Our insurance company was a real pain. They would not respond to us via phone. Even after several attempts by myself to get in contact with our adjuster. After finally getting an actual email from our insurance adjuster. I forwarded it to Brandon and he really went to bat for us in dealing with the insurance company. He met their inspector at our home to inspect the roof, detailing his findings and pointing out several things that the insurance inspector wanted to try and attribute to wear and tear. Our house is only 9 years old, and came with the builders crappy shingles. Brandon got us a whole new roof when initially the insurance inspector only wanted to do sections. Brandon even got us an upgrade for an ice and water shield along with some new vents. Brandon kept up the communication with the insurance adjuster. Then he showed us the differences in the shingling products and the grades available. We definitely wanted a better quality roof. With Brandonâ s advice, we went with a very high quality shingle as an upgrade from our previous. The first check from the insurance adjuster arrived and while we were getting it co-signed from the mortgage company, Golden Spike went to work. We got the date scheduled. Supplies delivered, crew arrived all on schedule. Roof was torn down and built back up in a day. After this, Brandon really went to bat for us again and got us two more checks from the insurance company. The insurance company originally had us at a deductible for ~$3500.00. After Brandonâ s work with us and the insurance company. Our final check to make everything Paid in full was only $1400.00! Brandon Boone and Golden spike roofing was very easy to deal with. Brandon himself was very personable, down to earth and easy to talk to. It was definitely a privilege and an honor to work with Golden Spike Roofing and their Project Manager, Brandon. If I were to ever need a roof again, or if anyone was looking for recommendations on a roofing company. I would not hesitate to recommend Golden Spike Roofing and to ask for Brandon Boone.

My home was damaged from a hail storm and after receiving bids for the repair work I selected Golden Spike Roofing. They replaced cracked tiles and in a few cases were able to repair the damaged tile without replacement, which cut costs. I also had a window frame that was cracked in a few areas from the hail, which couldnâ t be replaced without removing the entire window and would have been costly. Jon suggested not replacing the window and instead fabricated a fix for the frame and weatherproofed it, saving me thousands of dollars. I couldnâ t be happier with Jon Vaughn and Golden Spike Roofing. They communicated frequently, did what they said they would do and did it on time. It's difficult to find good customer service anymore so it was great working with them. I highly recommend them.

Golden Spike replaced an old fiberglass roof on my sunroom that was leaking with a new metal roof. They also replaced the insulation and gutters. Everything was done quickly and efficiently with no delays or misunderstandings. The roof looks great and is above and beyond what I expected. Dave, the project manager, is an excellent communicator so you always know what is going on and when it will happen. I can't recommend highly enough. Any time I need roofing the the future, I now know who to call.

I worked with Dave and his customer service was excellent. From the start he made sure to coach me through the process and explained the reasoning behind all of his recommendations. He responded to every request, question, and other communication promptly all hours of the day. After a hailstorm most of my neighbors used another roofer (another well known local company) but I was one of the few that got several bids and picked Golden Spike instead. The overall quality of the work was excellent and our neighbors immediately began complimenting me on the quality and slick look of the roof install. The cleanup was also above and beyond and the cleanup crew went well into my neighbors yard to pick up any stray nails. They did such a thorough job that they actually were picking up nails from my neighbor's previous roofing job as well! My neighbor was really impressed! There was one issue with the roof install where the bath vent was not vented properly. Dave did not hesitate to make sure it would get fixed and as it turned out he was involved in fixing it himself. He made sure it was done right and while he was up on the roof he put some other finishing touches on other vent installs so that the overall result was top-notch. A new gutter install was also part of the project and the crew that put the gutters up did an excellent and quick job and got it done right before a rainstorm. I especially appreciated how Dave worked with the insurance company to make sure the right work was done the right way, was reimbursed properly, and done in a timely manner. The overall cost was comparable to the other bids but the quality of the install including edging and vent materials leads me to give an overall value of 5.

This is a great company to work with. They kept us involved in the process at every step of the way, and everything they said they would do, they did. Their work is top notch and they are very quick to return calls. Highly recommended!

Dave, the project manager was easy to work with and always available. They were genuinely interested in doing a good job which they did. They found some structural problems which they repaired at a very very reasonable cost. They completed the work in a timely fashion. They were fair and reasonable in every way.

Golden Spike was great! We called in an emergency with a leak to our roof. They were quick, attentive and helpful. Dave and Spike helped us quickly and honestly to get the problem solved, which ended up being a free fix. They could have easily tried to up sell us on work, but were ethical and so easy to work with. Very communicative and came out quickly. I will come to Golden Spike for my roofing needs in the future. I worked with Dave Vaughn who came to do a roof inspection the day I called. He helped with the insurance process and stayed in touch with me throughout the process. He responded very quickly to any questions or concerns that I had. I know that without Dave's attention to the project, I would not have had the great results that I experienced.

The roof work itself was completed very well. Even with the surge in roof repairs in the city, they were quick to schedule the job and finished on time, with minimal disruption or inconvenience. They cleaned up nicely, and did an excellent job. They were also much more reasonably priced than the company that my insurance company originally sent out (and much faster and easy to work with). My only qualm was their less aggressive handling of related damage repairs (beyond the roof) from the same hail damage claim (they're roofers after all) and the 6-month delay to complete the inspection and get closure. That's mostly the city's fault, of course, but there was a glitch that resulted in missing the first inspection date which caused a 3-month delay to become a 6-month delay. Again, mostly the city's fault, but a bit frustrating. Overall, I highly recommend this roofing company.
