I contacted Home Advisor for a handyman to help lay a path in my backyard because I have a flea problem, to remove 2 kitchen base cabinets and replace the counter which was not level. I used Alex Gomez before, but was hesitant to use him again, because he is shady, during last project. He quoted my 4ft shed extension including materials, but when it came time to add the siding, he tried to convince me he did not need to use OSB! He tried to get away with wrapping the studs with Tyvek and nailing the siding to the studs. His team also took my new ladder. He promised multiple times bring it back. I am still waiting. They also took more than a week longer to complete the project. I was promised a week. Back to the pavers and cabinets. Alex came to look at the job on Monday 5/17 and said he would start on Friday 5/21. On Thursday 5/20 @ 8:40 he texted and to say that he could not start tomorrow and his team would work Saturday 5/22 and 5/23. They did show up on 5/22 but not 5/23, They returned on Monday and Tuesday. Alex came to the house on Tuesday and I paid him cash (thank fully my father was watching) I got sidetracked and did not get a receipt and I expected they would finish that day. All they needed to do was pick-up and hang 2 cabinets in the laundry and sweep the polymeric sand over the pavers. Alex realized that I had the wrong sand and said he will be back on Thursday and would pick-up and complete the cabinets the same day. On Thursday morning, 5/27 Alex called to ask if we could reschedule for Memorial Day. I agreed. On Monday 5/31, Memorial Day he text to tell me that his team wanted the day off that he would be there on Tuesday 6/1. I agreed and stressed Please No More Cancellations Today is 6/1. No one showed up, No one called. I called Alex 2 times and texted twice. I guess he got my cash so I would not be hearing from him anymore. As a side note, my niece had Alex quote a project in the bay and found that he was extremely expensive for a handy service. She went with someone else for 1/2 the price, which was fair. I DO NOT recommend you use Alex Handy Service. Save your money and be patient. There are a lot of reliable trades out there who will not screw you out of your $$$$$$ I would give negative stars if I could. On 6/4/21 he did come to complete the work and I am satisfied with the quality of the work. The quality is good.

Alex was very accommodating on what we wanted and allowed us to make changes along the way. Did a great job of cleaning up when work was completed. He was able to provide handrails for safety in less than 2 weeks, so we were very happy with the turnaround time.

Alex and company are very hard workers. They put in a new driveway and are now working on our front porch and we're very pleased with the way it's turning out. They always leave everything clean. We will definitely hire them again.

Alexandro and his two Helpers did a fantastic job in my house: I had several different jobs in my kitchen and bathroom and everything was done in a timely and excellent manner. They were on time, very careful to protect my floors, furniture, etc, I must admit that I interrupted him several times with "over-protective House Owner" questions and he responded very patiently and thoroughly. I feel like I can trust him with any small or larger projects and will definitely call him again when the need comes up! Angela

Alex and his team do a good, clean, and efficient job. They usually finish ahead of schedule, which is great. If you are looking for a job to be done well, I would recommend Alex.
