We had a difficult leak to fix. It was under a stone wall and covered in concrete. We had hired a contractor to fix it before. When he saw where it was, he quit. Mel kept at it until he was able to find the leak and fix it, and charged us less than I expected to pay. He was honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and on time. I would recommend him to anyone.

I just had my water main replaced, and the team that did that broke my drip irrigation system for both front and back yards. They tried, but had no idea how to fix it. Mel came in, took one look, and knew what to do immediately. In the end, I had him replace 4 underground valves with new above ground ones, replace the wiring back to the controller, enhance the drip system, and install some nice decorative rock along the sidewalk (to control the nightly skunk digs). It was fast, no nonsense, and very affordable. Mel is easy to work with.

For me, it was a BIG mistake to hire off Angi. This person was a crook. Did not do what I asked, kept charging me more for his invented issues. To be honest, I don't think he knew what he was doing. The final straw was him wanting to charge me $187 dollars for a sprinkler I found on all kinds of websites for approx $85. I let this go on much to long and finally hired someone else (not off Angi) that fixed my issues and for much less money. My $$$ loss is your warning to not hire him. (no, i didn't buy a timer from him).

Overall, Mel was very professional. He kept appointments and was punctual regarding agreed upon scheduled times. He outlined the work to be done and offered a fair price. Quality of work was top notch. And he was personable. Would definitely recommend Mel for sprinkler repairs.
