Clearly this company has no idea how to build a deck, but it goes much deeper than that. BEWARE! Long story short: It cost me nearly $800 to have my front entrance and yard torn up and left like an absolute war zone. The long story: I hired Good Brothers (admittedly trusted more than I should have) to build a front porch main entrance to my home. Owner had me sign a contract with no plans, made lots of promises and had me write a deposit check. Materials were immediately delivered and placed in my front yard and remained untouched for 2 weeks. This included a pallet of bagged concrete mix that was shrink wrapped onto the pallet, but clearly not water resistant. I had to go purchase a tarp to cover it or risk it turning to stone in my front yard for 2 weeks. Owner never even expressed any concern about it. Workers came for 2 days and dug holes and tore up my entire front entrance â The 2nd day, these workers were his 18 and 15 year old sons. Then nothing for 2 weeks. They left trash, rocks, torn out bushes, and holes that were likely not dug in the correct locations and definitely not dug to the depth that would pass inspection (per the owner of the company â he would be â able to convince the inspector that it was okâ ). They started digging the holes and then claimed they couldnâ t do anything else until the inspector came out. Meanwhile, 2 weeks pass, with the holes filling up with the torrential downpours. The owner informed me the holes would have to be re-dug, and he kept claiming he couldnâ t understand why the township inspectorâ s process was taking so long. Turns out it clearly states they should allow 15 days on the permit application HE FILLED OUT HIMSELF. My home looks like a war zone, and that is the way this contractor left it. We repeatedly discussed the fact that this was a front entrance and that the stairs needed to reach my driveway. I kept asking for a design, I kept asking how many steps there would be ... the owner couldn't give me an answer and replied that they won't know how many steps until after the deck is built. I knew this was a simple calculation that a deck builder should be able to answer, but I sent him an online step calculator any way. That night, the owner of Good Brothers placed an ad on his facebook page for an "experienced carpenter". A few guys responded, and one of them showed up at my house with the owner the next day. Shortly thereafter the owner informed the contracted price was going to INCREASE because I need the steps to go to the driveway and that this was in some way a change to the original estimate and plan. Owner went to home depot to order my special order railing and told me I had to put on my credit card. Unknown to me, he also had them charge additional materials to my card during that purchase (tubes for concrete) I have asked several times for the tubes to be removed from my property and for the reimbursement of the amount I was illegally charged for these items that were carelessly just dumped on my property and allowed to sit to ruin in the weather. He refused and claimed my next contractor can use them. I said if they are still usable, he should come take them away and reimburse me. They still refuse. We agreed to dissolve the contract and he had his workers remove the materials and return to the store (leaving behind a huge area of dead grass which I will have to replace). I agreed to pay for the labor involved in the digging of 8 holes to the tune of $600. It will cost me more than that to repair the damage they have done to my property, but I just wanted to get the majority of my down payment back quickly. Additionally, he made me

Contacted me in less than 24 hours. Came the same day to give me a price. I hired them on the spot. While it was a small job it was still completed in a few days. Polite, friendly, did not leave a mess. Would hire this company again in a heartbeat
