Hello, I am John Hare. I am the owner of Good Counsel Home Inspections, LLC, a local company serving South and Central NJ. I am the sole inspector, and when you call you are talking to the person who will be performing your inspection. I have a decade of experience in the inspection and construction industries, and a technical background beyond that in physics, mathematics, and chemistry. I value honesty and integrity, and pride myself on the quality of my work. I do not cut corners while inspecting. My only concern is in inspecting your future home and making you aware of its current condition and safety issues that may affect you and your family. All of my reports are issued within 2 days of the inspection. After you read the report, I am available for discussion and helping you move forward. I look forward to providing you with home inspection services to the the highest industry standards.

John inspected a home I had hoped to purchase. He was very thorough and took his time to explain what he saw as we walked through the property. The house I looked at turned out to be somewhat of a disaster, unbeknownst to me upon a walk-through of my own. He brought things to my attention such as the setup for moisture-related issues on the exterior of the house as well as the big boom of termite infestation on the interior of the house. He was knowledgeable about many aspects of the older home I sought to purchase, including plumbing and electric. He wrote his report in a timely fashion. It included pictures and recommendations for actions to take care of the problems he identified. Thank you John! Your expertise saved me from purchasing a home that had repairs I was not prepared to handle.
