They were on time, completed the project at the price quoted. All in all very satisfied with them.

    2.0 Marc W. Hawthorne, CA

Beware. I had a leak under the house and called Good Guy Plumbing. They came the next day. The job lasted 1.5 hours. I received a bill for $700. The cost of materials was for a small section of compromised copper, so the bill is $700 for 1.5 hours labor. He does have a good demeanor on the phone, but do not trust this guy.

    Response from Company:

Hello Marc, I'd like to clarify the situation once again so we can have a proper understanding of the cost associated. The leak underneath your home caused substantial water damage, and accumulated a pool of water that resulted in hazardous working conditions. Most company protocols would require immediate restoration remediation and dry down to clean the area of water and bacteria, so it's a safe working environment for any plumber to perform the repair. This was made known to you multiple times, and you have opted out of that option. You and I discussed over the phone possible home remediations to help make the underground crawl space more reasonable to work with, however at the time of the job, there was still substantial pools of water underneath. After asking my plumbers if they were comfortable working under these conditions, they agreed to move forward so we can make this repair for you and get you taken care of it. We did have multiple conversations about the work performed, and the reason behind the associated cost. I was very transparent about our pricing and noted that it would have been a significantly less cost, had there not been hazardous working conditions. You responded with pricing averages off the internet, which have no proper merit to market pricing in our geographic location and factored in the conditions. By no means was anyone here was ripping you off or taking advantage of you. We worked with your best interest, repaired the issue in the pool of water under the house, all so that you can get back to normal without having the ultimatum to go with a restoration company. This wasn't an overpriced repair under normal conditions... the price reflected what we worked with. And even following our open conversations after the repair was made, we even provided a substantial discount to help alleviate some of the costs. I'm sorry if you don't understand the reason why this invoice reflected the scope of work and conditions we worked under, we tried our best to make that clear. Either way, we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavor, and hope there can be another opportunity to work together in the future.

Very pleased with their prompt efficient service. They replaced my leaky pipe in the wall and pulled out the bad one through the attic. Quick and clean, no mess! I highly recommend Good Guy Plumbing!

4.5 Susan M. Redondo Beach, CA

Good Guy Plumbing was able to come out to the house and provide a price quote the same day I called for a job to replace our main water line in front of our house. It had a pinhole leak. The price estimate was fair and a little less than another competing plumbing service in our area. They were able to schedule the plumbing crew to come out the very next day to do the work, and they got it all done in the time frame they promised within just that one day. The two crew members were professional, thorough, answered all our questions, and did a good job of cleaning up when the job was done. They even fixed a small, second leak they happened to see in our sprinkler pipes while they were doing the main line replacement. The new main water line has been in place for over a week now, and everything is working as it should. The only reason I gave Good Guy Plumbing an overall rating of 4.5 instead of 5 is because of a small issue that came up related to the price quoted and the final price. The price quote was based on their initial assessment that our main line should be replaced with a 3/4-inch pipe. However, once the crew dug up the old pipe, they discovered that the old main line had been 1-inch diameter, and installing a new 1-inch pipe added $200 to our final price. The crew let us know as they were starting the job that they would need a larger pipe, and that the price quote would increase by $200. Despite this issue, I think it was an honest mistake which the owner apologized for, and I would use Good Guys Plumbing again.

    4.0 Robert L. Torrance, CA

This seems like a young company trying to do the right things. This was an especially challenging problem with very little space to work in. It took two guys all day to fix the problem and they worked very hard. Robert called me and kept me apprised of the progress of the work all along the way and made sure that I was satisfied.

    4.5 Michael M. Hawthorne, CA

Robert returned my call after I scheduled another plumber I had not used before. He was upfront and gave me a fair estimate for replacing old angle stop hot & cold water valves for a kitchen sink. Robert immediately scheduled an appointment at the perfect time for me. Then on the appointed time and day, the plumber showed up right on time, and finished the job better than I expected. Thanks.

5.0 Michele B. San Pedro, CA

Excellent job! Good Guy Plumbing fixed my leaking water heater quickly and thoroughly for a fair price. Spoke with Robert over the phone and David came out to do the repair. Both were professional, knowledgeable and kind. I recently bought a new townhome and will be doing business with them for any future plumbing needs. Many thanks to David, Robert and Good Guy Plumbing. It’s such a relief knowing there are good, honest plumbers I can count on.

    5.0 R W. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

This was a large job as I had slab leaks and needed to re-pipe the first floor. The job took 3 days and the work was done to perfection. I am really, really picky so this says a lot. I did go out for bids on this project and Good Guys Plumbing was very competitive. I would not hesitate to call Good Guys Plumbing for future work or recommend to anyone. Today, I did recommend Good Guys Plumbing to my neighbor. Try Good Guys Plumbing and you will see.

    5.0 Lupe C. Wilmington, CA

Quick response, did a great job at a fair price. Will definitely use again.

5.0 Stephanie N. Long Beach, CA

I cannot recommend this company more highly! From start to finish the work and customer service were top shelf!! The service technician, Robert Castelao, was very knowledgeable and super polite. Due to his courtesy and professionalism, I would not hesitate to call them out again if needed. Definitely a 5-star company and technician!
