Everyone was very friendly and professional. Not all vents we're able to be cleaned due to them being unusually small, but they cleaned all of the vents that the could fit their equipment into. They ended up leaving some equipment behind and didn't get all of the vent covers reinstalled, but overall I was quite happy with the experience.

I strongly recommend people not use Goodfellas for HVAC replacement. Jay Smiley was either incompetent or likely duplicitous in his upsell from just a new air conditioner to also replace the furnace heat exchanger. The office manager of Goodfellas declined to have a supervisor check into Jay work. Other aspects of the service were also disappointing. Details follow. All went well initially, with a prompt and attractive quote provided by Mike, and a reasonable few days before installation. The installer proved to be either duplicitous or unqualified. After removing the air conditioner, which exposed the 12-year old Amana furnace heat exchanger, he pronounced it defective. He insisted a scratch was a crack, but that was highly suspicious because one end of the scratch was only on the edges of pleats in a 180-degree elbow. He was not equipped to test for a crack. When I challenged his claim, he doubled down and stated that the tubes with the burners were blistered which also proved not true. He refused to continue unless the heat exchanger was replaced. My wife and I had been without air conditioning for 9 days already during the hottest part of the summer. He had us over a barrel. Blessed with comfortable finances, we offered to proceed with furnace replacement on the condition he leaves the old furnace behind for testing. He had the opportunity to retract his claims behind his upsell because I warned him that my reviews regarding service would be glowing if he proved correct, or severely critical if his claims proved false. He agreed to remove the heat exchanger for me but retracted that later. After the install was complete, he took the furnace to the truck and was ready to load it when he remembered wanted to keep the parts. His behavior indicated that really did not want me to do any tests on this part. Later I removed the heat exchanger, filled it with water, and found no cracks or leaks, except for a very slow seep at one of the four dual-diameter tube joints. This probably had been there for a long time and certainly presented no danger or interference with furnace operation. Using a flat file, I confirmed the supposed crack was indeed just a scratch on the surface. The first stage of the heat exchanger, which gets the hottest, was discolored but had no blisters. The central office of Goodfellas was rather disorganized. It took 3 phone calls and one email over three days to have Alex email me a copy of the building permit. The city building inspector required safety caps to be installed on the refrigerant valve by the compressor, but it took 3 phone calls over 8 days before Goodfellas put this on their work schedule. My advice is: do not trust Goodfellas, especially their technician Jay Smiley.

I hired them to install my cooler. It was never right. It was supposed to be a 2 speed cooler but only ever had one. I called them more than once about this but they never did anything. My cooler stopped working one year later and they would do nothing. They strung me along for 3 weeks then said they no longer do coolers. Not a good company!

Today we had our A/C inspected by Tony, under our 3 yr extended warranty. He did a great job, very knowledgeable and professional. Goodfellas calls us as a reminder for our annual checks. Initially, they installed a new furnace and A/C, and we have been pleased with the products and customer service!
