We loved using Johnny and his crew! We are so happy and please with the work that we had done in Gardendale. We added a bedroom, bathroom and den for my Mother and in the process we were also able to enlarge our bedroom and bathroom in our master bedroom. As an added bonus, we now have a walk in closet that is what dreams are made out of. We also added a very spacious two car garage with work areas. I highly recommend! They were so easy to work with and very informative.

Johnny Gossett and his team were phenomenal. They helped us design our deck from start to finish, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. The crew was polite, respectful, and made sure to clean up each day before leaving. The project was completed in a timely manner, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations.
This is the second time we’ve hired them; the first being for our inground pool—and we’ve been just as impressed both times. I would highly recommend Johnny and his team to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality work.

We hired Johnny to remodel our Kitchen and our Bathroom. 7 months later, the project is still not completed (but it's mostly done). Johnny has delayed our project multiple times by not sending his workers for multiple days at a time. Routinely his excuse has been that he's been doing this for 40 years and that he cannot send his workers for just a few hours (even though almost always his guys have had multiple days worth of work to do). In addition, when his guys do show, they often come around 9:30 AM, leave for 1 hour lunch, then leave for the day at 3:30 PM. As my project is winding down, we are ready for our cabinets to be completed, but were told by the sub-contractor that Johnny owes him over $12K for our job and that he cannot come to complete the work until he will get paid. We have made every payment so far, and our last payment is not due until the project is completed. Johnny is unprofessional to work with, unreliable, and dishonest. Avoid him at all costs.

"You are fully aware that your accusation of my not having paid $12k to my cabinet man, Derrick is false. Derrick, himself told you, in writing, that you were incorrect. NEVER have I failed to pay any of my employees, subcontractors or suppliers....ever. There are only 2 subcontractors on your job. Those two are Derrick Banks (cabinets) and Steve (glass shower door). They get partial pay upfront and are paid the rest when they complete the job. Your allegations and accusations are untrue, slanderous and defamatory toward my company, my people and to me, personally. Your claims of Gossett Associates employees arriving to work late and leaving early are also false. You requested that no one arrive before 8:30 AM. because you like to sleep in. Often, they would arrive at 8:30 and have to sit in the truck and wait for you to get up. Anytime, one or all of them, left your job to go to lunch, they were, also, picking up supplies as well. They, normally eat at the job-site. None of them take a one hour lunch, nor do they leave early. My guys actually called me to your house while they were working in your master bathroom. They were ready to pack up and leave the job due to the condescending and demeaning way you were speaking to them and treating them. In all my years as a contractor, I have never had any of my people threaten to walk out on a job because they were treated so poorly by a customer. I came to the job site and told you that I no longer wanted you to speak to my employees in that manner, that I would be the one communicating with them from that day on. I asked you to deal with me directly and I would speak to them. That changed the way you and I relate to one another. Basically, you stopped responding to me on a regular basis. Your behavior caused it to be more difficult to move forward with erratic communication. Your false claims are why we will be in arbitration at the BBB. My guys and 2 former customers will testify at the arbitration, as well. There is a reason, that even with your untrue review, that we still have a 4.8 star review. We are a great company, with excellent workers, who do excellent work with integrity. We will arbitrate your false business allegations, then address the personal defamation of character and false allegations in the appropriate arena. Johnny Gossett"

Gossett and Associates added a kitchen to our Mother In Law suite. When the owner, Mr. Gossett, bid the job he was a pleasure to work with. He even gave some tips as to how we could improve our design. His tips proved to be very helpful! Greg, Jake, and Joseph were great to work with as well. Their professionalism and pride in their work really made this a pleasant experience. I changed my mind about a few things along the way and they were so kind and patient with me! They also cleaned up everyday before leaving which was so unexpected. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. They will treat your home as their own and you will not be disappointed.

I met Johnny thru my daughter and son-in-law. He was completing a major renovation for them. We shared with him our vision of making our existing garage easier to access. He proposed adding on a more useful garage and turning our existing garage into a very nice den. This whole project just finished up right before the Christmas Holidays which was more enjoyable with the additional space. From the new concrete all the way up to the new roof the work was done in a timely manner and looks great. His team is very trustworthy, and they took care to cover up and protect our possessions as the work progressed. I highly recommend Gossett and Associates for any work you may need. Very satisfied with the work and the price. Johnny is a great contractor and has a topnotch team surrounding him.

Johnny and his entire team are great. We had a challenging project updating a house built in 1974 and then added on to in 1995. We remodeled four bedrooms, three and half bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining room, game room, new deck on the front porch and new covered back patio. We knocked down six walls, removed three outside doors, put new siding on the entire house, and did a lot of small improvements to plumbing, electrical, and gas. Johnny and his crew did it all and with great craftmanship and care. He communicated along the way, worked with us when we wanted a design change, and was more than fair on all pricing. Johnny and his crew did most of the work while we were at work and school. We trusted them with our most valuable possessions and never had a single concern. They also did the remodel while we lived in the house and worked with us to tackle areas to improve quality of life for us and our three children. I cannot say enough good things about Johnny, Karen, Jake, Joseph, Greg, Chuck, Ben, and all the rest of the crews that made our dreams a reality. I have recommended Johnny to several friends and family and they are very happy with the work they had done as well. Do yourself a favor and call Johnny, he is a good man, he will give you a fair price, and he does quality work.

Gossett & Associate's team worked on two projects for us. First project was replacing our whirlpool tub with a larger shower, converting the former shower to a closet, and replacing the old floor tile to match the new shower. The second project was a new tile backsplash for our kitchen. Once the projects started, Johnny kept us updated on all activities and everyone on his team was courteous, dependable, and on-time. The team also strived to maintain cleanliness during work and before they left each day. They were very responsive in correcting issues that came up during construction and after the project was signed off. We would hire Gossett & Associates again.

I would highly recommend Johnny Gossett . He recently completed a master bathroom remodel for us and we are very pleased. He and his crew were great to work with. It is very nice that he has a decorator that will help you pick out supplies for the project. They communicated well and were very receptive to changes we made during the process. The work was done in a timely manner and they were very neat and cleaned up after each day. They were very trustworthy and we felt very comfortable allowing them to work in our house even if no one was home. The bathroom turned out beautiful and exceeded our expectations! We hope to use them again in the future for a kitchen remodel.

I have worked with several contractors throughout the years. Johnny Gossett and his crew were, by far, the best of the best. We had the wall between our kitchen and living room removed, fully remodeled our kitchen, laundry/mud room, half bath, and our master bathroom. This was a large remodel on an older home. Any issues that were discovered from opening walls, were addressed immediately by having a knowledgeable contractor. Johnny went above and beyond to ensure that the work was done correctly and in a timely manner. His decorator shopped with us and guided us through the multiple choices for countertops, tile, backsplash, paint colors, light fixtures, hardwood floors, all while keeping us on budget. Johnny is a great communicator and had great ideas for some changes that we wanted to make. Remodels can be hard and inconvenient. Gossett & Associates made it easier by being efficient and professional. We liked and trusted each and every worker that entered our home. The end result exceeded our expectations! We will definitely hire Johnny and his crew for any future work.
